"Caught On The Ebb-Tide"
Edward P. Roe (1838-1888)
From this short story collection:

I may have accidentally uploaded twice? Also, for the PL, if I missed any background "kid noise" let me know. It's my blind spot, hard to tell if it's virtual or reality. Thanks

Don't worry about uploading twice... only the last will be used.

Alas, the title is actually The Cobbler Astrologer". My mistake (I recorded it correctly and the file name is right). And further, I've been informed that the story's protagonist, Ah-med, is pronounced Ack-med. This name occurs 65 times in the story, so I don't know whether to go in and redo each one, or let it go. I don't mind doing it if it adds authenticity to the story. What do you think?

I would let it go, as we don't worry about correcting pronunciationmsfry wrote: ↑October 5th, 2018, 12:41 pmAlas, the title is actually The Cobbler Astrologer". Edit: you got the name right in the file name, but I didn't notice the discrepancy
Besides which, I checked all of the pronunciation websites, and the ENGLISH pronunciation of ahmed is just as I said it. We Americans don't have that hacking sound at the back of our throats (unless we are hacking up phlegm). I will leave as is. I did upload a new file with a slightly slower tempo, so the new time is 29:07
