Two more sections left here. We're so close !!
Sonia
Dear Sonia,
I'm very sorry, but I have to relinquish my claim for section 51. I'm totally snowed under other (recording) work, so this is not going to happen this time.
It's a pity, because that's the section I really wanted to read... But then again, I have contributed here already and it's not fair to the other readers to keep this going after so long.
Thank you.

awwww that's a pity I know you were looking forward to this one. But no need to stress yourself, there will surely be other sections to your liking in the coming projects.Availle wrote:I'm very sorry, but I have to relinquish my claim for section 51. you are so fast and yes, Hannibal was determined, but he didn't reckon with the snow-covered mountain tops of Switzerland. I am wondering if elephant skeletons were dug out in later years in the high regions.neecheelok70 wrote: ↑December 10th, 2018, 9:09 am Here is 51--the man was determined!:

A flawless section again, Jim. Thank you so much for this quick turn-around. PL ok.
So we're waiting for one final section.

I will listen to it right away, stay tuned in case there are errors. With a bit of luck, it can get archived tonight.

ok wow !!! this oration was well worth the wait You made a really forceful speech here, Ting, I can well imagine Marius speaking to the soldiers like this, firing them on to follow him in battle. What a wonderfully narrated section. Thank you so much.
I did find four small errors though I hope you're still around to read this now
> at 3:38: (p. 353): "and that exertion which before your kindness to me I practiced gratuitously" - you say "to which" and later on "graceously" which is a change of meaning
> at 13:31-13:34: (p. 358): repeat: "thus it most unjustly happens that", the first version was correct and the second wrong, so this part can be cut out
> at 13:44: (p. 358): "as I have now replied to my calumniators" - you say caluminators, I don't think that word exists
