Dear Sonia,

I'm very sorry, but I have to relinquish my claim for section 51. I'm totally snowed under other (recording) work, so this is not going to happen this time.
It's a pity, because that's the section I really wanted to read... But then again, I have contributed here already and it's not fair to the other readers to keep this going after so long.

and yes, Hannibal was determined, but he didn't reckon with the snow-covered mountain tops of Switzerland. I am wondering if elephant skeletons were dug out in later years in the high regions.

You made a really forceful speech here, Ting, I can well imagine Marius speaking to the soldiers like this, firing them on to follow him in battle. What a wonderfully narrated section. Thank you so much.

I did find four small errors though

I hope you're still around to read this now

> at 3:38: (p. 353): "and that exertion which before your kindness to me I practiced gratuitously" - you say "to which" and later on "graceously" which is a change of meaning

> at 13:31-13:34: (p. 358): repeat: "thus it most unjustly happens that", the first version was correct and the second wrong, so this part can be cut out

> at 13:44: (p. 358): "as I have now replied to my calumniators" - you say caluminators, I don't think that word exists
