I know! Finding three sestinas by her was a nice surprise. I was thinking, too, only recently of how you got to be Heathcliff in one chapter!

Hi
Just checking in on this project. Quite a collection!
I can't come up with a basis on which to choose sections to read.
Erin, I'd be quite happy for you to allocate them. That said, I would fancy the Dante ones.
Cheers

Hi Peter,

I've made a start, but please feel free to add or reject as you wish. This project is pretty fluid. I've tried to give you some good ones to make up for a few where I think you'll be wasted! There are reasons a few of these have sunk without a trace.

I've amended the first post to include a translator credit in the intro, though I think it's only really the Dante and Petrarch that will affect.

How would you feel about making section 24, Sidney's double sestina, into a duet? If you like, you can read Strephon and I'll read Klaius, and I'll add two sections at the bottom of the project for us each to load our parts to separately.

Hi Erin,

Sections 18 and 51 are PL OK.

Sestinas lend themselves to translation and Mary Robinson is a bold spirit, but we know that. A woman of science.

Wasn't sure exactly what to say in the intros - let me know if it's wrong and I'll fix it.

Hi Peter and Pam,

I was up first, so I've listened to the intros and they're fine. Sorry if the first post wasn't as clear as it might be. Carry on!

Hi Erin,

Sections 19, 34, and 38 are PL OK.

I couldn't get the last link to work but the reading sounds fine.

Thanks, and sorry about that. No idea what's going on - that was via google books, and I thought normally viewing those works much more smoothly from within the US!

I'll lob a few more your way this week. Next week will be a bit quieter when I'm away from my mic.
