you were not wrong with the word "exciting". Wow, the whole passage was written sort of dreamily and especially the dance of the woman was highly sensuous. One could almost feel the rhythm of the music underlying it all. A wonderful chapter and you have given it an excellent expressiveness with your tone of voice and your reading in character. I really loved it. Thank you so much.

I feel awful to make a little note though

> at 9:40: (p. 359): "là bas, au sud" - you say "it has" for some reason this is French and means "over there, in the south" - là bas is pronounced lah-bah (without the 's'). Would it be possible to correct these two words still, please ?

ha ha ha! I was wondering about that! I thought it was a type error. I even looked up the pronunciation of "au sud" in French. I had copied and pasted the text into a Word document so that I could highlight things and add the Arab words to get the correct pronunciation, and my version said:
"Id has, au sud."

I'll fix that right away.

oh wow that was fast thanks, Jim. And both are PL ok. Woah, crossing that bridge was quite an adventure, I'm not sure I could have held on to that rope. I read up a bit on de Chaillu in wikipedia, it does seem that he is enhancing it with some fictional embellishments. Maybe he was the French Karl May
