Section 36:

Volume a bit low. Please amplify by 3-4 dB. (You'll have to zoom in and shrink the two spikes at 8:52 and 8:54, or use Compressor effect on the whole recording - threshold 16 dB, ratio 3:1; the rest of the settings can be left at default).

Only about 1/2 second of silence at the end. Please extend this to 5 seconds.

Nicely read. A couple spots, I felt like standing up, waving the American flag, and singing the national anthem.
School fiction: David Blaize
America Exploration: The First Four Voyages of Amerigo Vespucci
Serial novel: The Wandering Jew

Section 11 - all good, except you read way too many of the footnotes. :) If they don't contribute anything new to the text, they shouldn't be included. In future recordings, if you're in any doubt about reading a footnote, don't read it.

Here's a list of ones that are purely references or do not add anything worth adding to the recording. Please remove:

2:09-2:22
3:25-3:37
4:43-4:50
9:34-9:41
10:05-10:13
10:32-10:38
13:10-13:22
13:49-13:55
15:12-15:19
15:21-15:28
18:25-18:32
19:00-19:07
19:26-19:39 (no "end of footnote")
19:47-19:54
20:23-20:30
20:37-20:42
21:16-21:25
22:15-22:34
22:51-22:56
23:00-23:06
25:09-25:17
25:27-25:51
26:20-26:28

I'm sorry if my instructions re: footnotes was confusing. I should have just said to omit all footnotes; then it would not have been an issue. :?

I omitted a lot of footnotes already but thought the remaining ones did contribute to the text, However, I will edit out all of these. I agree, next time it might be best to just state omit all footnotes since we obviously are making different judgement calls on their value to the source text.

Take care,

Reposting of Section 11 -

https://librivox.org/uploads/triciag/watergatereport3_11_senate_128kb.mp3

New Time is 24:00

I edited out all of the footnotes you referenced, except two. I left in old time spots 22:15-22:34 and 25:27-25:51. I truly believe that these contain additional verbiage that gives the listener more information beyond references to interviews, etc. If you disagree with my choices please let me know and I will take these out as well. Thank you.

Take care,

Greg

Thanks for bearing with me as well.

We are all doing our jobs the best we can. One of the nicest things about LV is that even if we disagree on something we can come to a compromise and still be friends!

I appreciate the work of the DPL and can only imagine how hard it must be, especially when different projects have different rules. I always enjoying working with you and appreciate your insight and guidance.

Take care,

Greg
