thank you Tomas for the feedback ! I was eagerly awaiting your verdict.
I also think the formatting errors you encountered were a fortunate accident
 you know, I totally agree. I would never have groaned SO much if it wasn't for the AAAs. Maybe some theatrical demon put them my way so I would get this extra push.

The best thing is, the audience will never know the real reason why I said all those AAAs  That remains an inside secret.
This is such a difficult character to pull off, and yet you do it without breaking a sweat!
who says I wasn't breaking a sweat ? believe me, after this performance I had a hard time winding down and getting back to normal
I can't wait to hear the rest!!
Well here is another huge act. The last act for Tom...after that it's plain Edgar.

https://librivox.org/uploads/kitty/kinglear_edgar_4_6.mp3
Recording time: 7:19 min.

But Edgar is slowly getting back to normal, so no excesses here (not too much anyway). He says himself, it's too hard to keep the madman up around his father and his father mentions that his voice is different, so I started being less foolish also in his initial speeches here in the beginning. He "plays" much more unconvincingly, and that was done on purpose.
Then after his father jumps, I took it that he "plays" a totally different character, I hope I was correct there. And finally there is this strange interlude with Oswald where I wondered why on earth he put on this peasant drawl :? That was very hard for me to even understand what he was saying, and I fear the audience won't understand me either  But maybe that is not so important. But tell me, if I need to redo those lines, to make them sound more comprehensible.

And here is the final scene for Edgar. I notice I have the final lines in this play :9: and accordingly made them VERY moody. In fact, this Edgar is really a very moody guy, apart from his lunacy bouts.

I loved the longer speeches he had in this scene, especially the one where he calls Edmund a traitor, I got so into his barely suppressed rage there. Even though his voice was a severe strain on my vocal chords, I must thank you, Tomas, for trusting me with this role. I think if you had asked me, I would never have volunteered for it. But now that it's done, I'm actually quite satisfied with how it turned out. (if I may say so myself  )

So now I can concentrate my efforts on correcting you guys

I'll get to your last Edgar files soon, Sonia, but in the meantime, I finished all my bit parts (and voice credits) for you to check. :)

The hardest voice to "find" was the Physician's. I decided to make him very soft-spoken, as I think that would be the kind of guy Cordelia would trust. :P It also took a few tries to find the right voice for the Second Servant. In the end I gave him a scratchy voice, to make him older-sounding without clashing with my Gloucester (who I plan to make old-sounding, but also with a refined sense of speech).

 I loooove the scratchy voice for the servant (although it alarmed my bunny a bit when it started). And my favourite is definitely the physician, because he has a slight tinge of the celtic in his accent (coincidence or premeditation ? no matter, it works) The funniest is Burgundy, I had to grin throughout his performance. His slight French intonation gives him a bit of a gay vibe. I can't help thinking he was happy he found a way out of the the marriage to Cordelia

The voice (or intonation/accent) of the Knight was so totally familiar to me, but I can't put my finger on who it reminds me of. Well...maybe it was simply you in one of our other plays

All small parts, and the voice credits, PL ok. Good start, Tomas ! Now I'm curious for your big parts.

Ah that makes Scene 4.4. ready to assemble !!!! But I won't do it now, I will go to bed now. If anybody wants a grab at it, just notify us here and do your best.

LOL this was not the interpretation I was going for, but in retrospect I love it because I don't think anyone's thought of it like that.

I'm scared about my four main roles, if I'm being honest. All four very different roles, and while I have an idea of how to play Edmund and Gloucester, I'm still contemplating my voices for Goneril and the Fool. I'm open to any creative ideas you guys may have. You know the place to suggest them.

I've just PLed the rest of Edgar, Sonia, and of course they're all PL OK. This is simply a beautiful performance, and now I worry my Gloucester will be lacking when next to your Edgar. You give him so much gravity in his sober moments, and it's so easy to root for him by the play's end. A great mix of pain and level-headedness. It was the right thing to do to trust you with this one. :9:

I also assembled 4.4 for PL. Can't believe we're already assembling things---it's been over a week since we launched! Now you can sit back and enjoy us men trying to live up to your level LOL.

I have no qualms about that. I'm sure you can live up to it. Now you have sth to strive for. It bring out the best of you.

thank you :D I had a certain actor as role model before my mind's eye and tried to capture his somber moods. Maybe that helped. It didn't help for the lunatic though, that was all my creation

yes there are few scenes with not many people, that's cool. Scene 4.4. is PL ok and thanks for editing it ! Sounds good together. Cordelia and the physician are out-soft-speaking each other and then this messenger comes barging in

Massive coincidence; I also have three daughters, who continually vie to be my favourite. In the kitchen I have a chalkboard marked ‘favourite list’. It includes the names of my three daughters and my dog. The dog is normally at the top and the others alternate depending on how much they’ve been creeping up to me.

My youngest is a real pain as well.

 you were predestined for this role ! Be careful you daughters don't treat you like our good Lear in the play ;)
My youngest is a real pain as well.
Cordelia was NOT a real pain !

Some notes for the voice credits:

could you please say the following complete descriptions:

LEAR, King of Britain
DUKE of CORNWALL, married to Regan
Gentleman, attendant on Cordelia

Now starting on Lear...looking forward to this :9: I can't believe you decided to start with the "big one" when we all finished off our small ones first

Stay tuned !

excellent portrayal of Lear  He seems already a bit of a dotard right from the start ;) And it won't get any better with time. I am looking forward to your portrayal of madness. It seems yours is not even played like Edgar's but real.

Scene 1.4. is already PL ok

For Scene 1.1. I have two notes. I'm not sure if we want this word-perfect, probably not, but I thought maybe this is a bit of a slight meaning shift:

> at 1:18: Which of you shall we say doth love us most? - you omitted shall

> at 7:15: Or all of it - you say of all

The rest perfect ! You can really carry the burden of the main character here, Craig !

Albany's only line in 1_1 is "Dear sir, forbear!" which he shares with Cornwall. Do we both say all three words, or do we split it up--one of us saying "Dear sir!" and the other "Forbear?"
