Here's section 2 (22:59)
https://librivox.org/uploads/alg1001/catharinedebora_02_morris_128kb.mp3

I thought my recording sounded a bit distorted (like the mic was too "hot"), but I was assured that it sounds OK and must just be my speakers. Let me know. :)

And let me know if any pronunciations need changing. :)

Thanks, Tricia! This was a pretty long section, and I appreciate your taking it on.

How did it get so late so soon?
It’s night before it’s afternoon.
December is here before it’s June.
My goodness how the time has flewn.

Howdy from Texas!

Please sign me up for

7 Chapter VII Part 1 2492 Words end with "October 28, 1575, aged 49 years." Open

and

8 Chapter VII Part 2 2740 Words start with "His second child, Elizabeth" Open

Which I will enjoy more because they are of more reasonable length....

Okay, thanks so much, Bill. I know there were a couple of long sections in here, and I appreciate you and the others who took them on. I din't want to chop this up too much, but also tried to balance out the section lengths.

Chapter 4 PL:
All good except that you have given the number of the footnotes. I think the convention is just to say, "Footnote".
If these are to be changed, they are at 4:55 (Footnote 8), 7:54 (9), 8:58 (10) and 22:21 (11).

Perhaps "admin" could advise.

Chapter 5 PL:
13:30 "respect" said instead of "request"
15:10 "prerequisite" said instead of "perquisite"

The rest is essentially okay, although there are various background noises throughout the recording, especially a repeated "pinging" noise (6:59, 7:21, 7:37, 7:52, 8:17, 8:20, 8:24, 8:40, 8:44, 8:49, 9:10, 9:44, 10:09, 10:42, 10:59, 11:10, 11:32, 11:52, 12:14, 12:18).

Normally pronunciation is at the readers' 'discretion' but at 2:48 "poppery" is said for "popery", which loses the meaning.

Finally, a pause is needed after the end of a quotation, as it is unclear that what follows is not included in the quotation, particularly at 2:33, 4:43, 5:08, 8:02 and 8:58.

Good PL. I do agree that the missed words need to be corrected. The pauses after the quotes are a borderline issue, but easy enough to fix. I do hear the slight pinging in the background. Although I haven't sampled everyone of them, I think they fall within acceptable parameters for a LibriVox recording. Just something to keep in mind for your recordings. Overall, a good job.

Chapter 6 PL:
13:12 "First" said for the German word "ist"
2:14 - a pause is needed here (between paragraphs).

The sentence from 1:44 - 1:55 is duller than the rest - should be amplified. ("The black velvet cloth ... valuable memento.")
There are some background noises at 4:38, 6:05 - 6:15, and at 10:50.

[For the pronunciation of the inscription at the end:
hin-ter-las-sen-e; Witwe = Vit-ve (In both the final e is a schwa.)]
