I'd always heard they were hidden in barrels; easier to pronounce than casks!

How did it get so late so soon?
It’s night before it’s afternoon.
December is here before it’s June.
My goodness how the time has flewn.
How did it get so late so soon?

And if it please the court, let me have a go at
4 Chapter IV 3583 Words please read footnotes 8-11
though I really hate to do such a high word count, I really like anything having to do with Luther or church history.....

Yup, big chunk for this chapter, so thanks for taking it on.
I have another little Luther piece in the hopper to launch soon: The Smalcald Articles http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/273

PL for Section 1:
Perhaps it's just my computer (I've been having some internet problems lately) but the recording jumps from 4s in to the end.

Not sure what you're seeing/hearing. Sounds fine to me, and looks as if some compression/equalization was used.
We have a more serious problem, however.
Did you check the specs on this?
I ran it through Checker and the bit rate is wrong- 121kb variable, and it must be 128kb constant. So, Bill, you will need to export this file again set to the correct bit rate and upload it again.

GillH - can you PL this one now, or are you still having problems with it?

PL for Section 1:
26:13 "End of Chapter 3" said (should be "End of Chapter 1").
Otherwise the rest could be left unedited, but for "full disclosure" ( )
- too much noise reduction has left a tinny effect. You could try to do it in smaller increments in future recordings.
- there are a few places with significant background noises. The most noticeable are at 1:30 and 1:41 (a sort of 'swishing' sound in the background), and at 4:29 (a jingling sound).
- 10:03 "abandoned" stands out too much from the surrounding text. Needs to be de-amplified a little.
- 16:57 "with" missing from "with Luther"
- 23:46 a slightly too long pause.
