COMPLETE-Catharine de Bora, Scenes in the Life of Luther-a
Oops! I forgot - Section 7 is a little high at 90 dB. Needs to be deamplified to 86 - 89 dB.

That is well within the acceptable range. The LV target is 89dB with a range of 86-92db (+- 3) This is also the parameters built into Checker.

Interesting. It was Checker that said it had failed at 90dB.

Ah!
So, here's the deal. If the volume falls out of range, Checker gives a message, "Passed with Warnings." A "Failed" message means some other parameter is incorrect. In either case, click on the Validation tab for the report. In this case you will see that it is the bit rate that is incorrect. (There would also be a volume out of range note here, if that were the case). Go back to the Information tab and you will see the Volume at 90, and the bit rate at 96kbs/sec instead of 128kbs/sec. Bill's had an issue with this, so somehow he is changing that setting when he exports the audio.
Once you know this little trick, Checker is more useful. It does other stuff that i don't begin to understand, but for general PL, this is all I need to know. That is about as techie as I get.

Here's Section 7 again:
https://librivox.org/uploads/alg1001/catharinedebora_07_morris_128kb.mp3
with changes made, viz.: "Namely" is lamely in place of "viz." And the 128kb constant is established.
Still like the image of the little crossbows.....

Section 7 PL OK!
It is a lovely image, and I suppose it's an image of heaven. I wonder if Hans ever "nagged" Luther to take him there.

I better move you to Readers Found!
In the mind, or consciousness of the Earth this flower first lay latent as a dream. Perhaps, in her consciousness, it nested as that which in us corresponds to a little thought.--A.Blackwood

Did you do the corrections on Section 4? Or, did I miss it?
Also, if you want relief for that last section, Phil DrPGould said he would take any remainders. Entirely up to you.
Hope to launch another Luther pieces soon.

Thanks. I'll get to these in the next couple of days.
Section 8 PL
11:45 Pause is too long before "But afterwards..."
Otherwise fine.
I cannot mark this PL in the Magic Window because the recording has not been added yet.

How did I miss getting this in the MW??? I scanned everything last night and still missed it. Anyway, I've put it in, and marked it for the PL not the our DPL posted. Quick fix and then we're done!Bill Mosley wrote: ↑February 20th, 2018, 4:08 pm Howdy from Texas!
