sect 9 status Correction
PL note: Low volume
Your volume is 82.4db, it should be increased to the LV target range of (86–92 dB).

Hi Tom,
 I am sorry that I missed this.

sect 17
PL notes:
1- Your volume is 82.6db, it should be increased to the LV target range of (86–92 dB).

2- 00:11-16 The best way I can describe this is, one sound track being placed over another one. Please check this. This is new to me.

Hello Helen,
I found the problem with the overdubbing on Ch 17 and uploaded a corrected file of 21':15". https://librivox.org/uploads/lynnet/Autobiography_17_franklin_128kb.mp3.

However I need you advice regarding increasing the volume of this Section and #9 too. I am more than a wee tad short of adept on using DAWs but do have access to Reaper, GarageBand and Audacity. In looking through the Help pages I am unable to find how I can increase the audio. If you can direct me to the proper technique I will apply it. If there is no way to correct it post recording, would you wish me to re-record them?

Helen, I futzed with Audacity and perhaps, just perhaps, found a way to increase the volume. Here is the result on chapter 17. Let me know if it worked and I will apply this nostrum to Ch. 9 too. https://librivox.org/uploads/lynnet/autobiography_17_franklin_128kb.mp3. 21' 15".

Thank you. If the problem is uneven sound preventing sufficient amplification, you can use either the compressor or leveler in Audacity. Both are in the drop down menu with the amplify button. I’m sure technically they are different, but for “normal” people, they appear to do similar things. You can use them a couple of times before it sounds too tinny.
