Hi Cathi, cathicol wrote:I'm not sure how to navigate this book. There don't appear to be page numbers. The only way I can see it is in the kindle and I don't know how to get to my section.
Cathi
You may just have to slide to it. It will take some effort I am afraid. It would be great if you could use something with a larger screen.
The actual page numbers for Lesson X are p.93-109.
Please do not read the Questions at the bottom of the pages, the Explanations of the Figures, the Charts or the Numbers he assigns each of the points in the lesson. If a chart or a footnote seems necessary to the understanding of the material, it is fine to include them. Use your best judgement.
I hope that helps.
Amy

Very interesting, esp. in light of a book I recently listened to on Natural Theology. Reflects the early attitude of science and theology as be firmly united.
I have the glossary sections recorded, but they will take a lot of editing.

There are some problems with section five with the words "pharynx" and "larynx." These are consistently rendered incorrectly. This is more than a difference in preferred pronunciation, fundamentally changing the words themselves. I note these below:
00:41 Text: “Pharynx” I hear “Pharnynx” (there is no “n” in the middle of this word, so it is just phar-ynx) Same incorrect rendering in the following places:
4:08, 6:34, 17:36, 17:50, 17:52, 18:53, 19:47. 20:05
18:18 Text: “larynx” I hear, “larynix” There is no “i” in the second syllable, so it is just lar-ynx
Also found at the following locations: 19:14. 19:34,

My medical vocab is good, Greek is good, but Latin only fair, so I hope this is reasonably accurate.

Amy,
Bear with me.... I have been battling a sinus infection. At the moment, I sound like J.D. Sumner. The other day, my bride commented "your voice is at the frequency-range that only elephants and seismographs can hear." I am back on the mend, but not quite up to the 200-300Hz range yet.
