thank you Chris, for finishing the second section now this story was extremely interesting, especially the exact description how to wash gold. Not that I ever would want to do that, it sounds like an exhausting hobby
When Hargraves rode through the Blue Mountains I couldn't help picturing you doing this exact same route on one of your bushwalkings. Imagine finding a big nugget all of a sudden !
I only have one tiny note:
> at 13:01: p. 490 middle: "twinkle through the darkness" - you say township, which doesn't really change the meaning here as the camp fires where in the township, but I think the original sentence is more romantic, so if you agree you could correct that. If not, I can well mark it PL ok right away.
Oh and section 128 is prefectly correct and PL ok.
Thanks for telling us about your country's history in a fitting Australian narrative voice.
Sonia
Section 127 has unfortunately been orphaned, but since it was such a short section and I had a bit of time, I decided to record it myself just now
Jim, if you still have time, would you mind PLing it ?

I agree, and I got interested in this Tosa Nikki and found out that our own Availle already recorded it for LV.neecheelok70 wrote: ↑February 27th, 2018, 7:21 pm Here is 91:

Simon, thank you so much for this excellently narrated section. And this was your very first recording, if I recall correctly. Well done, congratulations.NinjaOfNix wrote: ↑March 1st, 2018, 5:47 pm Section 136:

No reason at all to apologize, you had our standard two-month-deadline for completion and it has not expired yet for two more weeks. So you are well inside the time-frame. But I'm glad I got your section now, because, as you can see, we are in the final phase and we're close to archiving
Concerning your reading, it's absolutely enjoyable to listen to. I love the dark timbre in your voice and your quiet, non-hectic way of reading. Perfect to follow along with the story. The story itself was interesting, I had never heard of Aguinaldo before, but checked him up on wikipedia just now. Interesting character.
The text itself is flawlessly read there's only one slight technical error that needs correcting in the introduction:
> at 0:18: you forgot to say the rest of the long disclaimer (as mentioned in the first post), please add the following: “The World’s Story, Volume I: China, Japan and the Islands of the Pacific, edited by Eva March Tappan. Section 136.” and then only start with the title of the story
Super for your first contribution. I hope you had fun and I will hear lots more from you. If you are interested in India and Mesapotamia, that will be the topic of the next part of the World's Story starting soon after the completion of this one. So stay in touch !
For your corrected file, please re-upload with the exact same file-name. (no "version 2" or anything). The new file will replace the old one in the Magic Window.
Thank you, and have a nice weekend
