I have corrected (hopefully) and the updated files are here:
Section 4, "The Storyteller": https://librivox.org/uploads/carolin/daybeforeyesterday_04_middleton_128kb.mp3. It is 8 min 17.5 sec in length.
Section 5, "Admirals All": https://librivox.org/uploads/carolin/daybeforeyesterday_05_middleton_128kb.mp3. It is 8 min 16.5 sec in length.

Thanks,
Fafhrd :)
Both are PL OK!

Hi and welcome to librivox!

You are welcome to read that section. I have signed you up, your personal catalog page is here https://librivox.org/reader/12103

All projects in which you participate will appear here. It is still empty now because we are dealing with a glitch after we upgraded our software. I hope this will be resolved shortly :)

Please also complete the one minute test before getting started :) thank you!

If you don't mind, I would also like to read these sections:
22 The Price of Peace
26 The Flute Player
27 The Wool-Gatherer

I find myself enjoying immensely R. Middleton's essays! What language! And what stories!

Hi Julia,

The only thing that I think needs correcting is the opening silence. It's a tad too long. It should be 'no more than 0.5 to 1 second', and yours is about 1.4 seconds.

Hi Fafhrd,

It's a bit too quiet. You should be aiming for 89 dB, and you're at 85.3. I'd amplify it as much as it will let you without clipping (1.289, apparently).

Hi Roman,

Here are your notes:

Firstly, please just upload the mp3. Don't zip it.

The recording should be in mono sound, not stereo sound.

3:43: There's quite a long gap here you might want to shorten.
8:46: The ending silence is far too long. It should be about 5 seconds, and yours is about 15.4 seconds.
