Thanks, this is in the MW but you can start recording ch 15 if you like - you don't have to wait for the DPL!

Just a comment before you start recording for Chapter 15 - I note that Chapter 14 is in STEREO and we need it to be in MONO.

Don't worry about adjusting Chapter 14 yet, as we haven't had a chance to PL the whole thing and there may be other changes - but be aware before you start recording Chapter 15 that you need to switch your Audacity setting to MONO please.

Hmm...went back and double-checked my Audacity settings....it's on Mono and has never been changed....this is on the "recording" screen....is it something I did in the upload to Librivox?

AND I looked again at the export screen and see that there is a box on it for "force export to mono" which I did NOT check when I sent it. Would you like me to resend it with this choice made?

I always check that box, yes. But don't do it yet - wait for Helen to formally finish PLing the rest of the file to make sure there are no other changes that need to be made. It's more efficient for everyone to make them all at once!

Helen, Chapter 5 is now uploaded to the MW - I was in a bit of a hurry as I read it, so it goes past rather quickly but I hope the action is all understandable!

I have no idea what has to be done to change this, so I will wait until the change is made before I do the PL.

Hi Helen - it's a fairly easy technical fix, so please go ahead and PL the section so that the reader can make all the necessary changes at once.

There should be 5 seconds silence at the end of the recording.
Everything else is PL OK.

So mjgreene, if you could add enough silence or "room tone" to the end of the recording to make it up to 5 seconds, then re-export the whole file using "force mono" and using the same filename, then I (or Helen) can spot check it. Then you'll be done!

Don't worry about it - the first file is always the hardest! Once you get used to it, the following files are easier. I don't even change my computer settings anymore! I just record and noise reduce and export without thinking about it!

Chapter 14 is now PL OK! You can go onto Chapter 15 when ready!
