length is 24:54

at 10:19 you read "of no - of no race at all" (extra "of no")
at 14:15 you read "Now - Whatever Mr Devin thought" ("Now" is not in the text)

In my opinion neither of these affect the sense of the story, so I'm inclined to let them pass unless Carolin overrules me. Therefore:

section 7 - Bum: A Brooklyn Dog - PL OK

Our first chapter in a new book!

Please let me know if Carolin would like for me to edit & I will. Hopefully the other chapters will follow my lead, eh? Have a great day!! It is beautiful in my area of California, at the moment. Tomorrow it is supposed to be rainy and not as pleasant as it is now.
Thank you,
April

One little thing, how long is the recording (mm.ss)? Please remember to always post the duration of a recording when you post a link so that i can fill in the magic window :) thank you!

Sherri - I found one thing that needs a fix.
At 3:14, you read
The Injun he up and gave A sober-minded, tan-colored dog, with that nameless something about him that irresistibly attracts this dog to dad..."
I think you were reading from the "full text" version of the story at archive.org; when I look at the scanned version I see that middle phrase is the caption for a photo in the book. The story should read
"The Injun he up and gave this dog to dad..."
If you can edit those extra words out everything will be fine.

The Checker program reports your recording volume is in the middle of the LibriVox acceptable range. It complains mildly about background noise, and I can see the noise in the waveform - but it's not objectionable/distracting in my headphones, so that's perfectly OK.

Could you please edit out "A sober-minded, tan-colored dog, with that nameless something about him that irresistibly attracts" and re-upload your section? The length will be a few seconds shorter, so if you can report the new length as well that would be great.

(I'll send this as a private message as well since I took so long to proof listen to your section. I have a new email address registered with the LV forum, so I should once again get notices when people add messages about books I'm involved in.)
