23 MINUTES !!!!! I was wondering how long it would take to read the Mariner. Well done Craig !!! Will PL soon.

Meanwhile I also finished another of my biggies, compared to yours it's paling of course

I hope I am not the only one who sees similarities between Rime of the Ancient Mariner and Ballad of Judas Iscariot. I think the flair of the poem is the same: a wandering soul, seeking salvation, a wedding party...

Craig I am blown away by the Ancient Mariner performance :9: I love the poem anyway, and you did it so much justice. The cracking voice of a seasoned sailor, you have it down to a T. I guess in the end we will have some 30-40 minutes. This will be so great.

I can't help hearing the Iron Maiden tunes with those few lines that they quote in their song  When you spoke them I had to grin, these are the only lines I really know by heart.

I did find a few errors to correct still, but considering the length, it's not that much:

> at 7:42: "With far-heard whisper, o'er the sea," - you say "fat"

> at 9:36: "I closed my lids" - you say "eyes" arguably it's the same thing

> at 12:46: "And the sails did sigh like sedge" - I think you say "sledge" :hmm:

> at 14:50: "That makes the heavens be mute" - stumble and repeat "that makes"

> at 16:39: "For a charnel-dungeon fitter" - you say "carnal"

> at 23:11: "While each to his great Father bends" - I think you say something like "with each to his great farther bend" :hmm:

> at 23:24: insert missing lines: "He prayeth well who loveth well / Both man and bird and beast."

Super job !!!!

Luckily the Reaper was much shorter, and this one is PL ok.

two short DRs.... Tomas this concerns you, is there a conventional way to pronounce Ulalume ? Have a listen to how I said it, and if you agree, it would be good you said it the same way. If you don't like it, you can tell me and I'll do it your way.

phew I finished probably my hardest poem for this project: Tam O'Shanter. It might not be as long as some you others have to do, but boy was it difficult. First to understand and then to recite it so that people would understand it while keeping up an accent that reflect the spelling. :help:

I'm quite happy with the outcome though :)

gotta simply love Poe :9: the creepy atmosphere at the end of The Haunted Palace is really well crafted:

excellently edited, as always, Craig  no need to be sorry, considering how long the text was, there were not that many errors.

PL ok now

another longer poem, but sooo cool and creepy. The style reminds me of some of Poe's works. :9:

here I started slow, then quickened the pace of the narration to reflect the mayhem of the djinns and in the end all slows down again. I think it creates a nice effect.

and another DR narration :) I noticed I'm reading a lot of Pope this time. Pure coincidence though.
