Lynnet

I am muddled as to chapter v section nmubering for All along the River.

I think that i have been labelling my files incorrectly. I think they should be filed with section numbers not chapters.

I do hope I have not again caused problems. I did this once before i am afraid.

The chapters i have already recorded seem to be alright as they have been passed PL Ok . But their fi;les are with chapter nmubers not section numbers .
I am just about to start on the other I have been assigned and would appreciate your direction . I record as CHapter ## but when I save the files it should be as section##. Is that correct ??

Oh boy, isn't the MW messed up? I did notice something wrong yesterday.
Help :hmm:
I will start at the beginning of messages and see if I can't figure out what is going on here - Does anyone see what happened.
Meanwhile, Jenno, if you will rename your files with the section numbers, then I will reload those too.
I am an amateur, probably my fault.

Miss Stav and all, I think I have repaired the MW. Jenno I don't see that you did any misnumbering.
I started to add "chapter x" to the descriptions, then realized it wasn't my call. Should I continue or replace what was there?
There was some data lost, the wording for the first sentence of the 2nd half of the last chapter or section 29.
Please check if all looks ok now.

Jenno, To answer your original question, yes the file number should be the section number. So that would only be different on the very last section, in this case - If I have reconstructed the table correctly. :?

I will take a look this afternoon... All the section numbers and file numbers tally
Jenno: yes, your file number should be the section number.
The two are only different if there has been either one (or more) chapters broken into sections due to length or complexity -- earlier in the book. Or, in some cases, the chapters are so short, a section is made up of more than one (again, earlier in the book).

Cheryl: I notice in sections 1-4, it says 'chapter...' in the title. We only do this if there is no chapter name 8-)

Please don't be afraid to ask questions (by PM if I don't answer straight away!). That's how we learn. And if I don't know the answer, I ask the other admins (so I don't really know stuff, it just looks as if I do  )

Got to finish cleaning out the pantry  but will check it out later.

I have looked at this. I didn't listen to check all the intros and outros were correct.

The sections all correspond with chapter names in the book. I did change #29... you had it as 2nd half of 28, whereas it is actually a separate chapter; so I re-titled it. I also typed in the whole chapter titles where they were missing as that gets carried over to the catalog.
