The terrible fright of that hell-tinctured night

For what it's worth I prefer your version, but as this is word-perfect I've flagged it.

25, 27, 32, 33, 34, and 36 are all PL OK, and very well read.

I have a couple of notes for 31 and 35. I checked them against the scan on the Internet Archive, and it looks like they're the same as the PG text. I'm biased, but I think that's rather unfortunate. When you're reading in character you sometimes come up with versions that are every bit as good as, or even better than, the original!

31, Jim Bludso
2.01-2.05, first line of fifth stanza:
The fire bust [heard barst] out as she clared the bar,

35, Lariat Bill
1.25-1.29, third line of third stanza:
An' I give [heard gave] her full steam an' put her through,

Hi Algy,

It's very nice to hear you again. I have a few notes for the first section, and I'll listen to the others later.

6, Drought and Doctrine

0.38-0.44, stanza 2, line 2:
Let me tell you all the story, an' if then you think it strange,
That I'd like to fee [heard pay] ye extry...

2.44-2.47, stanza 9, line 1:
"Saddle up," the missus [heard mistress] said.

3.41-3.44, 11th and 12th stanzas combined. Omission:
An' took a snifter, "just [enough] to wet her lips," she said;

4.33-4.36, 15th stanza, 3rd line:
Doc., I couldn't speak nor [heard or] move...

5.17-5.21, antepenultimate stanza, 1st line:
That night the child grew worse, but all my care was for the [heard my] wife;

I had to listen to a couple of these twice, so do let me know if the problem is on my end. I may simply need to listen to more Australian literature and Australian accents!

Good morning Algy!

PL notes for 7 and 8. I've been strict.

The fern its dark-green frond [heard fond]

8, The Carrying of the Baby

1.02-1.08. Dot is speaking. Omission:
I [should] think a man of your size ought to be able to carry twenty-one pounds without grumbling so.

3.54-3.58. Larrie is in the act of depositing his offspring by the side of the road.
...he put on the bootee that was hanging by a string from the little rosy [heard rosy little] foot...

4.24-4.27. Omission:
...she said, looking [up] at his set side face.

5.08-5.14. Description of Dot.
When she was happy, they were the colour of that blue, deep [heard deep blue] violet we call the Czar...

6.06-6.09. Larrie is speaking.
"I shall shake you some [heard one] day, Dot,"...

Two shorter ones to round out the evening:

15, Australia's Call to Arms
1.06-1.12, antepenultimate stanza, fourth line:
Ye are scions of the sires
That of old were in the vanguard
Of the world wide [heard great] empires!

16, Good News
00.45-00.48 - extra word added
And [a] good yaller soap for its keep

1.05-1.07 - omission
She's [so] slow for her age...

I've heard precisely zero Australian accents for the last four weeks, and it was good fun getting back to listening tonight.

14 is PL OK.

18, The Lion's Cubs
Bottom of page 2, 2.45-2.52
The wide world shall be shown
That we mean to hold our own
In the home [heard land] of our adoption, free and fair;

See you in a minute on Wheels.
