Happy Jack by Thornton W. Burgess (1874 - 1965).

All audio files can be found on our catalog page: http://librivox.org/happy-jack-by-thornton-w-burgess-2/

Who would have thought dropping a nut would cause so much trouble? No sooner does Happy Jack the Gray Squirrel go scampering down the tree than he finds himself in trouble with Chatterer, the Red Squirrel -- and then running for dear life -- away from Shadow the Weasel!
Thornton Burgess's entertaining tales of wild nature have entertained children and adults alike for nearly a century. ( Jude Somers)
  • Text source (only read from this text!): http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/13355
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

I'm sorry - for some reason I didn't get the notification that you'll be the project manager. Yippee! No, I don't have a DPL arranged. The last DPL lost her headphones and sprt of dissappeared :| Is there a place to post up invitations to DPL?

yay - so happy you're on again

I've added a tilde to the title to advertise the fact you need a DPL. We'll wait here for a few days to see if we attract one. I don't think you need to post in Listeners Wanted until you have a few chapters recorded.
