Exciting conclusion! And as always well read, Jules. And PLOK, except for the omission of "end of chapter 34" before you say "end of The Three Midshipman by William Henry Giles Kingston." See the instructions for "End of Recording" under MW. Jim

Sorry I was sure I had posted this weeks ago but guess not...
section 32 with pl changes (possibly?)
https://librivox.org/uploads/carolin/midshipmen_32_kingston_128kb.mp3
duration: 15:47
I ran the file through checker and it passed whilst raising no issues but this occured before the changes also so I am not sure if the problem has been fixed.

I am sorry for any confusion. I downloaded again and came up with passed with warnings; this time the background noise reading was 42.8. And interestingly enough, the downloaded file came up with 128-2.mp3 in the name, which I don't understand. The file you sent does not have the recorded time attached also, though I don't know what effect that has. But If the Checker is clearing you on your end, I think we should go with PLOK. Sorry for the trouble and forgive my instructing you when instructions were misplaced. Jim
thank you both!
i also ran the file through the checker just to be sure and it passed.

Carolin. what do you think I should do about my Checker's errors?
I think that something went wrong either with the download or with your folder. You said that the file was -2, so i think this was in any case not the correct file other than perhaps cleaning out your download folder i don't think you need to fo anything
