Speaking as a native Mainer, this Saunders guy doesn't have a clue about Yankee accents. And unfortunately, I'm not very good at doing a Maine French, I can never seem to get the vowels quite right or get enough nasal into it. I did sing the folk song though, hope it's okay.

Just one PL note:

-Missing part of the intro @ 0:04: "'Tilda Jane. This is a LibriVox recording. All LibriVox recordings are in the public domain. For more information, or to volunteer, please visit: librivox DOT org."

Your reading is lovely! I was really impressed because it wasn't until after a while that I realized I was listening to someone reading -- I had been so absorbed in the story! What I mean is, I think your storytelling was so perfect (--good pace, realistic voices for different characters--) that I forgot it was being read to me, rather than experiencing it myself! :) I don't know if you wanted me to tell you ways you could improve your reading, but, sorry -- I really don't see anything you could do better!

Thank you Twinkle - that is fabulous feedback - very encouraging! I will keep on going.
I assume the technical quality is OK too? I am using a Blue Yeti Pro USB mic. and I have a little "sound booth" I have constructed (with some help) in my store room!!
Thanks again

Sorry - just saw the missing part in the intro. I left it out on purpose because it gets so repetitive. Have done the same with other recordings so I assumed it was allowed. However, I can insert it if you prefer.

Yes, it sounds very good! Seems to me anytime someone uses a sound booth or something, they always have excellent sound quality. :)

Yes, please, would you add that in? Personally, I haven't heard that people could leave it out, except for maybe poetry(?). Sorry for being the one stickler.
