[COMPLETE][Fiction]An Iceland Fisherman by Pierre Loti - kit
PL for Section 50 - just one edit to make:
0:38 “that, it had not been…” read for “that had it not been …”
0:38 “that, it had not been…” read for “that had it not been …”
Not yet! Hopefully not for a long time! It was a long trek today, mind you. Those who wanted golf carts were disappointed, 'though: it's been raining pretty much non-stop for several days, so they were banned today.
PL for Section 46:
I've marked it PL OK.
If you want to be picky, most of your breathings throughout are rather loud 'gasps' and could do with de-amplifying.
That was a marathon!

Well noted, Gill... I'll come back to this at the very end before the deadline and see what I can do.

I actually wasn't 100% sure about the pronounciation of "Norden Fjords" and I guess Google was wrong to tag it as Danish (which is what I had followed: the Danish pronounciation--which sounds like "Nuan Fu-ah", I guess!). Go figure.GillH wrote: ↑November 29th, 2022, 12:17 pm PL for Section 49: Just a couple of little things.
At 4:24 you pronounce "Leopoldine" differently from elsewhere.
Optional:
For "Norden Fjords" I hear something like "Nuan Fu-ah" (at 0:49, 1:41, 2:09 and 3:12), but whether you take it as English or Icelandic (or even French) the pronunciation would be just as it looks. Do you have a reason for pronouncing it this way?
I'll fix these both soon.

Section 51 uploaded now :
https://librivox.org/uploads/kitty/icelandfisherman_51_loti_128kb.mp3 [5:02]
For this reading, there seems to be 2 typos in the printed text, so I read in the recording the following:
"quite close" instead of printed "quiet close"; and,
"2nd of August" instead of printed "2d of August".
Please let me know what you think.

Thanks Rel and Gill! Section 51 is noted in MW!Rel22 wrote: ↑November 30th, 2022, 1:16 amSection 51 uploaded now :

PL for Section 51:
Just again the pronunciation of Leopoldine at 2:44, 4:03 and 4:20 - in the earlier sections you were saying "...deen" but in this section each time it's the diphthong "ai" (as in "my")
[That's what I meant in the PL for Section 49: you had said "...een" each time until that final instance at 4:24.]
You're right - "quiet" was a typo; however, '2d' is quite often found as an alternative or older form of '2nd'. All good!
Thanks!

Hi Gill, I've fixed up Section 46 now.
It's been re-uploaded (and reconfirming that the time is unchanged):
https://librivox.org/uploads/kitty/icelandfisherman_46_loti_128kb.mp3 [4:44]
My gasps were annoying! (Sorry about that!) I realise now I mis-compressed this file! (I'm still in that learning curve!!).

Section 46 'still' PLOK!
Very nice. Thanks.
I don't think there's really a deadline once you have submitted the first version of the section.

I see... I don't know what that means entirely just yet. (Now I'm wondering, if I get much better at compressing these files in the not so distant future, hopefully , should I go back to fix up older files and reupload?).
Meanwhile, I've also now uploaded Section 52 :
https://librivox.org/uploads/kitty/icelandfisherman_52_loti_128kb.mp3 [9:01]
I'll come to the pending fixes of the other sections I have and also uploading the very last section very soon.

And a big thank you, Brian, for your patience and understanding--and for bringing me onto this wonderful work. What a story and ending!
I'm working on those other fixes pointed out by Gill...I'll come back to you all again soon on those!
