Section 08 is pl ok.

In section 07 I've noticed a couple of things I missed the first time. The intro opens with "This is a Vibrivox (0.5) recording".

Unless Larry thinks this is important, this is strictly for future reference: the second sentence of the intro is read as simply "All recordings..." while it is given to us as "All Librivox recordings...." It should be pretty evident from the use of the name, Librivox, in the the first and last sentences that it's Librivox recordings mentioned in the second sentence, but to be absolutely clear it's best to read the intro as it's written.

I don't know why the S in Sihon is still read as sh, but it can pass.

The corrections in both the file names and the recording register in the files posted in the thread, but in the mw and management dashboard the incorrect filenames and original recordings remain. :?

Well, mea culpa on not updating the MW properly!
Rushing and taking shortcuts is never a good idea. Anyway, the MW is all in good shape now.

I do think we should have the intro done again. The first "LibriVox" sounds to me like "VibriVox" and we really do need "All LibriVox recordings are in the public domain" in order for it to say what is intended. Since you need to do that, take another listen to Sihon, if you would. Upload under the same file name and post it here again. I'll try not to mess up again.

Really excellent recordings. You have a wonderful reading voice and I'm so happy to have your contributions to this volume. :D

Thanks for your careful listening, pattymarie!

Section 7 PL notes:

The text is fine, but the intro still needs to be changed to read "All Librivox recordings...."

edit:

Work on my apartment is at a point at which I may not be able to use my computer for a day or two at a time. If I seem to disappear for spaces, that's why. I'll get back and get onto things as soon as possible.

Chapter 14

https://librivox.org/uploads/mightyfelix/bibleperiodbyperiod_14_tidwell_128kb.mp3

I did make a slight adjustment scripturally, the Author quoted Josiah's record as being contained in 2 Chron 34:1 - 33:27, the account is actually contained in

2 Chron 34:1-35:27 ..... i think that is what he actually meant & therefore recorded it as such :hmm: this error is @ 2m 13 s

Duration is 18:15

We'll wait for your full PL report, but it is LibriVox policy to read the text exactly as given, even if it is an author's error, unless we can show that it is a typo, or OCR error which do occur in Gutenberg texts. I'll see if I can find an actual scan to check against. We'll let you know.

Section 14 pl notes:

As far as I'm concerned, section 14 is pl ok and well done. I'm fine with the correction of the biblical reference; I probably would have just done it silently myself, but Michelle is too scrupulous for that. I'm leaving the final decision on it to those wıth higher authority.

Well, I guess we will let it stand, unless Devorah as the MC is of a different opinion.

In doing some research, it seems this is an early edition of the book, that was subsequently greatly expanded, about double the size! There is a scanned version of it on Archive, but I couldn't find one for this book, unfortunately.

So, thanks for the good reading and for the PL. :D
