5:02 This may be my ears playing tricks, but I hear here: "And he spoke." Whereas it should be "And she spoke," since the next words make it obvious that Hera is speaking. Like I said, you might actually be saying "she." It's a little hard to tell, but it sounded like "he" as I was just listening through. Maybe have a listen here yourself and see what you think.Inkell wrote: ↑August 7th, 2022, 2:59 pm Okay here is my next part:

I'm sorry that it's just one part, I went to edit the third it has so many errors I feel like it would just be easier to record it again. I do have the rest recorded so I could've edited one of them instead but I'd rather do it in order so it's less confusing for everyone

It sounds really good overall! Just one little spot that you missed in editing. It will be a quick fix.Inkell wrote: ↑August 8th, 2022, 4:46 amHere's another one for Hello Kitty then:philchenevert wrote: ↑August 7th, 2022, 4:42 pm Thank you for 6 and 7 Hello Kitty will put this into the Magic Window for proof listening

Hope it's okay because it's a Frankenstein's monster of different recordings because a lot my second takes sounded better but my dog's loud snoring was audible (I got rid of the loudest parts, hopefully noise reduction made the rest of his breathing more bearable) so I had to edit a lot between them, and then despite recording it fully twice I had to record some sentences for a third time because I'd misread it wrong both times! I kept pluralizing words for some reason when it's singular so yeah, hopefully its alright now but I guess I'll find out with it's PL'd
5:14 There is a repeated phrase here: "Then Orpheus took his harp, and began his magic song." Both takes sound fine to me, so just choose one or the other to cut.

I don't think it's your ears playing tricks on you, I don't know if I'm not enunciating the words enough or speaking too quietly or something but I have noticed sometimes small words like that can be hard to pick up, at times I've even tried to find a clearer instance of the word at another point in the recording and inserted it instead. That being said, having listened to it in this instance I actually do hear 'she' myself so it sounds correct to me. I can still change it if you think it isn't clear enough though, or maybe we could get a third opinion from our BC on what they hear and think?mightyfelix wrote: ↑August 14th, 2022, 3:46 pm 5:02 This may be my ears playing tricks, but I hear here: "And he spoke." Spend so long editing this one I guess I was bound to miss something, went with the second take because the first sounded like it was saying 'And Orpheus' instead of 'Then Orpheus' so hopefully this one is fine now.mightyfelix wrote: ↑August 14th, 2022, 3:46 pm It sounds really good overall! Yes, I had not marked 8 as ready for spot check. Thanks for the nudge.
Thank you. Did you have any comment on the issue with the other section?philchenevert wrote: ↑August 19th, 2022, 10:42 amYes, I had not marked 8 as ready for spot check. Thanks for the nudge.

The one with the spot check? Our DPL will check that out soon.Inkell wrote: ↑August 19th, 2022, 11:16 amThank you. Did you have any comment on the issue with the other section?philchenevert wrote: ↑August 19th, 2022, 10:42 amYes, I had not marked 8 as ready for spot check. Thanks for the nudge.
I had submitted three sections, one was PL okay, one had a duplicated line (which is the one resubmitted for the spot check) and the last one they said at one point it sounded like I was saying 'he' instead of 'she' and asked me to have a listen myself and see what I thought, I listened to it myself but I definitely hear 'she' not 'he' so I wondered if we could get a third opinion since they didn't seem sure and it could also be I'm just more familiar with my voice so it's clearer to me, I was a bit unsure how to proceedphilchenevert wrote: ↑August 19th, 2022, 1:26 pmThe one with the spot check? My opinion is to let it go as is. Devorah i took the liberty of marking this PL OK. Let me know if there is something else that needed to be fixed.I had submitted three sections, one was PL okay, one had a duplicated line (which is the one resubmitted for the spot check) and the last one they said at one point it sounded like I was saying 'he' instead of 'she' and asked me to have a listen myself and see what I thought, I listened to it myself but I definitely hear 'she' not 'he' so I wondered if we could get a third opinion since they didn't seem sure and it could also be I'm just more familiar with my voice so it's clearer to me, I was a bit unsure how to proceed

That's fine! Sorry I've been out for a bit. I was out of town last weekend, and then I suddenly realized that I have to gear up for the fall semester, which is about to start next week. But I promise I will get PLs caught up soon!
