That is one interesting little 'fragment'. Almost a rosicrucian touch in it.
 this - gave - me - the - creeps ! Seriously, stories of people vanishing inexplicably always held a fascination and horror for me, as I much prefer to know "what happened". So this story is pushing all my buttons and gives me a shudder. And it is so well narrated by you, I was really hooked till the end. I only wish there had been a solution. One must conclude of course that the author of the diary now also vanished :( so frustrating. A great story though.

I have a few small edits to recommend:

> from 7:49 to 7:51: (p. 32) between "of their history" and "February 16" - over two seconds of silence always feels too long for me as listener, could you cut it a bit here please ?

> at 12:33: (p. 34) M. Henri D'Affleur - I would read this as "Monsieur", since he is French, or "Mister" if you prefer, but it's not supposed to be an inital letter for his name

> at 13:35: (p. 34) "by the recent disappearance of M. D'Affleur" - same here, Mister or Monsieur

> at 16:21: (p.35) "or new sounds for his ears" - you say "earn", which doesn't make much sense

> from 22:15 to 22:17: (p. 37) between "to me also" and "May 4" - long pause to be cut a bit

> at 24:04: (p. 38) and was introduced to me as M. Valjean Narpoli" - again: "Mister" or "Monsieur"

> from 32:16 to 32:19: between "answer the question" and "end of section 4" - long pause again

The rest was really flawlessly narrated, thank you so much. It was a treat. Good thing I didn't listen to it before going to sleep though :?

Splicing? I haven't done that since the 1970's when tape and razor blades were the only editing option! Thank YOU for catching my goofs.

thank you, Andrew, for such an enthusiastic and hooking narration. As soon as I realized this was about bull-fighting, I was steeling myself for a gruesome end, :? but I was so relieved that this turned out a positive story. :9: I really enjoyed it, and it's excellently presented.

Only two small things to correct:

> at 20:05: (p. 9) "and in his right hand he carried a long, keen sword" – you forgot "hand"

> at the end: we only need a standard of 5 seconds of silence, you have 9, could you cut 4 seconds there please ?

thank you

 this is like something out of a Poe story ! The author excellently described the loneliness and slow descent into madness due to the clock. A uncanny feeling came over me while listening to this. It's a surprise the sister never fell prey to it. :hmm:

Throughout the story I wondered why it was called "Number 7" but that gets explained at the end.

Wonderfully narrated, Greg, thank you so much. Your mysterious tone of voice is enhancing the horror even more. A good effect.

Totally PL ok.

I really did enjoy this one. What a lovely story and Mandana had a great idea to get the people to gather in her house. 8-) Though she was risking that they would be mad at her, but luckily it's a happy ending.

All perfectly PL ok and well narrated. Thank you, Sarah :)
