Nicely read, Lakshmi.

Only a couple of things keep it from being PL OK.

TIME: 04:56 TEXT: "then he spied the dairy building to his left and made a bee line for it. When he reached the door, he found two dairy maids standing" COMMENT: Maybe it is your accent but the two "dairy" words sound more like "diary".

TIME: 15:57 TEXT: "End of Chapter 2" COMMENT: It sounds like the first part of "end" has been cut off.

Let's hear more from you soon, Lakshmi.

Great!
That is a long chapter to read for someone starting out, so thank you for your contribution.

It is in the MW Ready for PL, so please stay tuned for your report.

Wonderful to have these!
Thanks so much.

They are in the MW Ready for PL, so please stay tuned for your report.

All sections are now in, so pending lomond's proof listening approval, we'll be able to finish this and move on to the next volume.

Greetings -

Welcome to LibriVox from another proud tie-dye wearer. You have joined a fun and eclectic group of people.

Some comments on Chapter 13:

All and all, a very good reading effort.

There are a couple of things that need attention:

The first 13 minutes, 18 seconds of the recording are blank and should be trimmed off.

TIME: 19:23 TEXT: "always did and she and I sprang at the wolves at the same instant and" COMMENT: Reading omits "and she".

After these two corrections, it will be ready to be marked PL OK.

Greetings -

Welcome to LibriVox, blackrulez. Here's hoping you become a regular contributor.

Chapter 14 and 15 were both read nicely and would be PL OK if not for one problem with each of them.

Chapter 14 is missing "End of Chapter 14" at the end.

Chapter 15 is missing "End of Chapter 15" at the end.

Thanks for working on these! I thought I'd jump in and give a quick check, and there is, however, a bit of work yet to do.

In both files, you have left a long gap between the end of the narration and the "End of Chapter . . . " tag. I find the optimal pause is no more than just 1-2 seconds. Otherwise the listener is just wonder if it is the end, or if something more is coming. So trim that down and still leave five seconds of silence after that

Also in both files the "End of Chapter" is very low in volume. So either increase your input gain for that, and/or use the amplification feature to bring it up. You can visually see this on the wave form which should be close.

Then in Chapter 14 I just happened to notice a long gap at 0:28-32 between the intro and the beginning of the narration. Again, this leaves the listener hanging too long. I find 1 - 1.5 about right.

Finally, the file names are incorrect with 128kb being omitted after the author's name. _montgomery_128kb

So, if you could make the above changes then upload the files with the corrected name and post the links here again with the new file lengths, we'll give them another check.

The good news is that your reading is excellent! Once you get this tech stuff down, it will be a breeze.
I'm thrilled to have you as part of this project. :D
