Jim -
At ~2:10 I hear you read
They spin it and make a wool of it
I happen to know 'woof' and 'warp' are terms used in weaving cloth, so the phrase should probably be
They spin it and make a woof of it
(This is where I reach the end of my knowledge about weaving.)

Second item - the silence at the end of the section should be 5 seconds long - you have close to 2. You should edit 3 more seconds of silence onto the end.

The section is See PL notes for now.
Whoah! I didn't notice my "woof" mistake. And I'll be more diligent about the 5-second rule. Fixing 88 and 147 now. Thanks!

Thank you
Two things -
At ~0:27 you read "A pin-sized wormlike larva" - that should be "A pinhead-sized wormlike larva" - you do correctly say "pinhead-sized" near the end (~5:34); perhaps you can copy that and edit that in near the beginning.

At the very end you read "End of section 19" - that should be "End of section 119".

PL OK again.
Thank you Andrea. I swear - some of those nautical words! If the spoken and written forms met in a dark alley they wouldn't recognize each other.

Laur - There we go. PL OK.

The 14-stage life cycle of this critter is quite amazing and apparently quite well tuned to take advantage of the host witch hazel. It fulfills the promise in the title The Strangest Things in the World.

Ferocious Leech Worms - PL OK.

Note: There is quite a bit of low frequency noise in your recording. You could filter this in future recordings without harming the way your voice sounds with a high pass filter.
I tried a Classic Filter - Buterworth - Order 1 - Highpass - Cutoff: 150 Hz and reduced the background noise by around 10 dB.

P.S. I didn't alter your uploaded file, I just ran an experiment on the copy I had downloaded.

P.P.S. Ticks and leeches are two of the creatures that most weird me out.

Thanks, Loon. Yes, leeches are pretty creepy. Though I've never encountered them in real life. I can't seem to find the classic filter in audacity. What version of audacity are you using?

I'm on version 2.3.3 for Linux, but that filter hasn't moved for a long time. Look under Effect for Classic Filters...
