EdwardFoster wrote: May 14th, 2022, 6:04 am I've just finished my recording (I think, the oak pollen has my voice crunchier than I would like), It's an 1 hour 12 min. 6 seconds.
How would you like me to break it up, or would do you want to keep these as one file?

Thank you so much for letting me be a part of this project!
Ed
If it's under 1 hour, 14 minutes then it can stay as one file!
Woohoo!
This is my first reading for Librivox... I hope it is up to par.

Section 22 PL Notes:
A very long first section and very well read. Good clean edits (I couldn't hear any) and you clearly understood the text and intoned it movingly but not distractingly. Well done!
  • End of file We need 5 seconds of silence at the end of the track (as close as you can make it).

Here's my file with only 5 sec of silence at the end. :)
Thanks so much! Off to find something new to read....

Here is Sermon 15, selected the week of Palm Sunday, finally (finally!) finished on the Fifth Sunday of Easter. Please let me know if anything requires tweaking.

It's a pleasure working with everyone.

Section 15 PL Notes:
Well read. I liked your casual style which made it sound like you really understood what you were saying. A deep section - quite different from the other ones in this project.
  • 00:00 Note: The volume of this track is 87.36dB. LV requires the overall volume for the track (measured by ReplayGain) to be between 86-92db (with 89dB being the ideal). The file falls within the outer ends of that range and so doesn't need to be changed but it's worth being careful about this. The easiest way to automatically set the volume is to use the 'Loudness Normalization' effect (set to -19LUFS) in recent versions of Audacity before exporting the track as an MP3. Another way would be to use the Amplify effect set to 2dB.
  • 00:01 Max 1 second of silence at the start of the track please!

Bill

How did it get so late so soon?
It’s night before it’s afternoon.
December is here before it’s June.
My goodness how the time has flewn.
How did it get so late so soon?

PL OK! I think in terms of content, this was my favourite section in this project. A great articulation of "Two Kingdoms" which is often attributed to Luther but I haven't found him actually saying it before.

It's a great sermon.
I was going to ask for another, but I see we're complete.

Shall I PL your sections?

Sermon 1 PL OK!

(Going by the text - if you want me to be more 'picky' than the standard PL -
7:29 “and merits” missing in “thinking by their works and merits to raise themselves…”, paragraph 6, but it doesn't change the meaning.
13:24 “on view” said for “in view [of this true one]”, end of para 11.)

I'll get to the others soon.

Thanks! I'll spare you a spot check and just mark this one PL OK.
