I've only read one poem before, so hopefully it turned out ok.
Really love your rendition of this poem! Very dramatic.
Some technical things to take care of -- the silences
At the beginning we as for 0.5-1.0 seconds and you have maybe 0.25 at most. So, could you add a bit more.
Same for the end, we need about 5 seconds and you have only about 1. And there are two things to snip - mike bumps at 8:21 and 8:31
Optional fix: The first two minutes of the recording are at a very low volume level and then it trails off again at the end. Because of the high volume and peaks later in the recording, it does average out. My suggestion is that you highlight that firs part (you should see this on the wave form in Audacity) and amplify it by 3-4 decibels. You wont lose your dramatic effect by doing this and it will keep the audio from dropping out.
So, do fix the beginning and ending silences and upload under the same file name, post your link here again with the new file length.
Ok, everything should hopefully be fixed. FYI, I actually did have 5 seconds of silence at the end but I think that mic bump threw you off. Anyway, hopefully it's all cleaned up now. I amplified the first couple minutes as well.
Thank you for a lovely reading of this poem!
The volume, however, is much too low at only 83.9 decibels.
Our target is 89 dBs with an acceptable range of 86-91.
Could you pleas amplify this by about 5 dBs and upload it again?
