[COMPLETE][Supernatural]The Haunted Homes and Family Traditions of Great Britain, by John Henry Ingram - kit
thank you, Jim. This was quite an unsettling story, because the ghost is hurting people, unlike in most other stories where nothing much dangerous is happening. I cna't believe they let the servant maids get hit so often without interferingneecheelok70 wrote: ↑January 21st, 2022, 8:38 amHere is Section 132:

Absolutely PL ok, flawlessly narrated
Sonia
thanks, Suzie, well you made it in the nick of time after all, super And a wonderfully narrated story as well, I enjoyed it quite a lot. Textually, all flawless, only one tiny stylistic correction at the end needed:Dollf4c3su wrote: ↑January 23rd, 2022, 6:50 pmThis is section 079

Hello Sonia
Section 97 is ready for PL
https://librivox.org/uploads/kitty/hauntedhomes_097_ingram_128kb.mp3 (12:21)
I was playing around with doing voices in this, hope its sound okay and do you have any tips for doing voices?
This finish's my first few sections on my first book. Ill keep an eye out for the next book you do but I'm also going to float around and get a feel for other parts of librivox.
Also thank you for putting up and helping me with my first few Sections.

I personally love hearing character voices, so I enjoyed the section. It sounded good, but it's not a must.jray wrote: ↑January 24th, 2022, 4:22 pmhttps://librivox.org/uploads/kitty/hauntedhomes_097_ingram_128kb.mp3 (12:21)

If you like to "act out", I suggest checking out the drama subforum, there you can be as dramatic as you wish and do voices whenever you think it fits a character. viewforum.php?f=27 Chances are you'll meet me again as DPL in some of these plays, as I'm very active there as well. I would suggest starting with a short role and checking out how you like the process.
Back to your section, here are a few PL notes to correct:
> at 0:24: (p. 360) "Blenkinsopp Castle" – you forgot "castle"
> at 2:26: (p. 361) "was given that of Bryan de Blenkinsopp" – you omitted "of"
> at 6:28: (p. 364) "was entirely untenanted" – I think you said "untainted"
thanks

The rest is fine

All fixed, thats what I get for not pulling up the book I guess.
Sadly it doesn't sound as close to the original recording as the other one.

haha, yes, always check with the book, that's why I write up the page numbers in my notes, so I can find the page back easier
it sounds perfect to me, wouldn't hear a difference in sound. All PL ok now, thank youSadly it doesn't sound as close to the original recording as the other one.
I hope you're having just as much fun in the next project you are participating in
