I had one PL Note for Victoria in pronouncing "mon beau chien" (my beautiful dog), but have apparently misfiled it. Let me recreate it here:

mon as in mon-key, (with a soft to silent n)
Beau rhymes with sew
Chien is two syllables, sort of she-an (soft to silent n)

I can't tell you the time now. Lynnet can cite the spot when she PL's, and maybe describe the phonetics better.
Hmm . . . Maybe you didn't want me to mark this PL OK yet?

If Victoria wants to work on that pronunciation, it is at time stamp 15:18.5 (but I am horrid at French pronunciations)

Everything else for this section is beautifully done, nothing out of place, no volume issues.

I would say, don't mark 4 PL OK just yet. I may have jumped the gun in my enthusiasm to show it all put together. In future, I will PL each reader on any errors I find in their parts, and cite the time of the error on their file. And I won't put up the final file for PL until I have those changes in. Sorry for the confusion. The fault is all mine.

Michele,

This makes me feel sooooo stupid. I recorded Section 5 on January 8, but evidently didn't post it. So I am now re-uploading it and posting it here. But, because I was so absent minded, what I did today was cut out the 'read by' parts on this one, and added the little bit that should have been mine that you pointed out. I looked at it at the time I recorded it, but didn't add it. I should have asked, but as it all worked out, it all worked out. I was just trying to figure out how you wanted me to put in that extra stuff, either to paste it in or send you a separate file with the addition, and then I looked through the forum, and my Section 5 wasn't there, but it was in 'my' files.

Six will be soon. I really didn't realize that it had been eleven days since I recorded it.

I hope this is what you wanted for this one.

Wayne, you did upload 5 on January 8th. and I have it queued up to edit tomorrow.
viewtopic.php?p=1993080#p1993080
I'll use the new one instead.

If you or Victoria run across some lines you think you should record in future, go ahead and do so. I can always chop it if it isn't supposed to be your part.

And while there is no rush at all, there is an asteroid heading our way . . . . . or did it pass us already? We gotta get this project completed before one hits.

The 'new one' will include the changes I mentioned, so that probably would be the better of the two.

Here are 6, 7, and 8. Very interesting mention of the "King Frost" episode. Not being an authority on Helen Keller, I hadn't heard of it. Went to Wikipedia. Very interesting story/problem/case.

Here are a couple more sections for me. I am beginning to feel guilty in getting equal billing with Victoria when I see how much she has to read and how little I have to. Her name should be in large type and mine in very small.

Here are 9 and 10:

And here are the last three short recordings of this Duet:

https://librivox.org/uploads/triciag/letters12_wc_keller_128kb.mp3 ~ :36
https://librivox.org/uploads/triciag/letters13_wc_keller_128kb.mp3 ~1:26

And I again reiterate my comments in my last post regarding the size of print that should be used in reference to the amount of time I put into this project.

Thanks a lot for the chance and the confidence you placed in me to contribute to this great project.

Ha ha. That's not how we work things here. All readers large and small get equal billing, but the summary will state who read what, and that says something. As I read over the text, and knowing how Victoria sounds from her previous solo, I just heard your voice in my head, possibly because you recently read on another project of mine. I was glad you had time to do it.

Sorry for the delay, it's turning into one of those months. I've given the "mon beau chien" bit in section 4 another try and re-uploaded the file: https://librivox.org/uploads/triciag/letters04_vn_helenkeller_128kb.mp3

The new bit is at around 14:15.

New bit added, file reloaded. 4 should now be PL OK pending Lynette's stamp of approval.
It's OK, Victoria. There is a lot going on in my real world, too. We do what we can, when we can, for as long as we can, as well as we can. I am working on 5 today, then (no pressure :? ) nothing else until you send 6.

Wayne, please record, for Section 5, the following:

Letter 33, DR. BROOKS'S REPLY London, August 3, 1890

and

Letter 34, DR. HOLMES'S REPLY to a letter which has been lost.

name the file: letters05_wc_addendum_33_34, upload, and post here as usual.
