Okay, here's Chapter 10 at 19:44.

I have some new computer problems. Namely, I tried to download MP3gain and it won't cooperate, so I have NO idea how to modify the volume on this chapter. :( Until I get it all figured out, I won't be volunteering for any more chapters.

Oh, that's no fun. :(

Do you have Checker? If not, here's the blurb I send out:

Checker https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=Checker, written specifically for LibriVox. Just drag a file into the Checker window to check validation on all LV specs, including a readout of actual volume in decibels. Use the Amplification feature in Audacity to bring the volume closer to the LV target of 89 dB.

Running this through Checker I see that it is stereo, not mono, and the bit rate is wrong, and the volume too high.

Not to fear! If you can't manipulate this, I will take care of it. Not a big deal.
Hate to miss out on your wonderful reading just because of technical issues.

Larry, I had all of those settings down BEFORE my computer crashed for the final time and I had to replace it. If you can fix it this time, I will figure out how to configure audacity for the next time. Thank you. :(

Nan

p.s. can you REALLY take a stereo file and make it mono! You truly are the Good Witch!

Yep, I can do all of the above without any witchcraft 8-)

I've had my Audacity settings change on me to, so I understand the frustration.

ETA: All done and in the MW Ready for PL

I've attempted to fix Chapter 10 and re-uploaded it:

Well, as I posted above I had already taken care of it, and uploaded it, but I'll check out what you've done.

Sorry -- I thought you said you were GOING to. I figured I'd have a go. This way, even though it's done already, at least I made a stab at fixing the file.
