I didn’t realize you could zoom in that far! That does help a lot! Now that I know I can zoom in I think I’ll definitely have a better time reading it thank you for the tip!Kitty wrote: ↑September 20th, 2021, 10:47 pm aww I'm so sorry to hear that, I really enjoyed your narrations. But I agree, the script is a bit challenging.
But do you know that you can magnify the page quite a bit in the archive scan ? I always do a double magnify and usually I can read it very comfortably then. As an example, here are two screenshots I made, this is the way I read the text. https://librivox.org/uploads/kitty/rover0123-voyage-2.zip
Would that be better for you to read ? You have to push twice on the magnifying glass in the bottom right corner under the scan window.
Meanwhile, I will release you from your claim again, unless now you want to keep it after all...waiting for confirmation on this.

you mean you will keep the section ?
Thanks
if you need help with zoom, let me know. My screenshots were done with zooming twice, I just tried, you can zoom in even further, even up to 4 times. After that it gets a bit blurred
If all else fails, I'll make you screenshots of the text like this.

Yes I will keep it! I tried it on my laptop and I can see fine now with it zoomed in twice. I always love seeing the Rover sections so I’m excited to take part in itKitty wrote: ↑September 20th, 2021, 11:00 pm you mean you will keep the section ?

Here is Section 8! The zooming in was a LIFESAVER but I'm so glad I stuck with it because this was an amazing story (I love a cheesy romance story )

glad to hear that but still, even with the zoom the script sometimes is a bit hard to read. It's definitely a challenge. I'm happy you managed.
awww yes, me too. I would have preferred a happy ending though. I was wondering whether this church really exists, maybe in England ? Y could be York...need to check up on that. Of course it could also be in the States.but I'm so glad I stuck with it because this was an amazing story (I love a cheesy romance story )

Anyway...wonderfully narrated, I really enjoyed listening to it. The text itself is flawless
I only have one small doubt, could you maybe have another listen here ?
> at 0:04, at 0:21 and at 11:21: "Number 23" – I may be mistaken, but I think you say "twenty-thirty" instead of "twenty-three" each time Maybe my ears are just tricking me but I found it strange.
Thanks
Sonia
I went back and double checked and I am saying “twenty three” my southern accent strikes againKitty wrote: ↑September 23rd, 2021, 11:44 pm glad to hear that but still, even with the zoom the script sometimes is a bit hard to read. It's definitely a challenge. I'm happy you managed.

no worries, Faithann, your deadline was still far away But seeing it's the last section we are all waiting for, of course I appreciate that you gave it a faster turn-around. The story indeed is lovely and I'm glad there was a happy ending. Nicely narrated too, I enjoyed it.Faithann wrote: ↑October 12th, 2021, 11:09 amHere is section 2! Sorry it took me so long. There are two small bits missing however, if you could still insert those parts all would be perfect:
> at 6:38: (p. 354) missed sentence: "Did you ever try him ?"
> at 11:18: (p. 354) missed part of the sentence (underlined): "all the pleasures of the day, it was never quite clear to him that Sybil did not expose him..."
thank you
Sonia
Here is the edited file. I think it is all fixed. New time is 31:20.Kitty wrote: ↑October 13th, 2021, 4:26 amno worries, Faithann, your deadline was still far away But seeing it's the last section we are all waiting for, of course I appreciate that you gave it a faster turn-around.
