Thanks for your recording!

There are however some corrections that need to be made.

First, the volume is too high.
Our target is 89 dB with a range of 86--92 db. Yours comes in at 92.9 dB
Your can use the Amplification feature in Audacity to bring it down -3 and you should be good.

Then there a multiple small errors throughout, missed words, changed words or slight mispronunciations.
I've highlighted only the ones that I think are jarring, not clear or affect the meaning.

When you have the corrected file, upload it under the same file name (although put in the leading zero) and post the link and new file length here.
Let us know if you have any question or need help with any of this.

====
1:00 “bough” this word rhymes with “bow” as in “take a bow” Not as in “bow and arrow”
1:56 repeat “long. Along”
3:04 the word is “exaltation” (4 syllables) I hear something like, “exultion.”
3:12 “o’er” rhymes with “or” not “err”
4:18 Text “between which it stands being equally related to both” (“being” is omitted.)
4:48 “solemnity” I hear something like “solmidy”
6:13 Text: “by such as are pleased” I hear, “by such as we are pleased”
6:37 “pasting” should be a long “a” as in “paste”

Missing at the end, ”AGNES STEWART. In charge of classes in Color Music and assistant teacher of Voice in The Mrs. John Vance Cheney School, Steinway Hall, Chicago."

Sorry Larry. This is the second time you've needed to correct that same error for me. I think I get confused with the ending for longer works when I set these up. I'll try to remember in the future. At any road, here are the corrected files -

You're not alone, and I think this ties me -- I had to correct a couple of these myself.

Here's section 7, at 4:54:

https://librivox.org/uploads/knotyouraveragejo/birdsmay1898_07_various_128kb.mp3

It started to pour halfway through this recording (I hope you can't hear it), so it'll take a few more days for my contribution to the April issue I'm afraid...
Cheers, Ava.
