Source text (please read only from this text!):Prudenci Bertrana (Tordera, 1867 – Barcelona, 1941) fou un escriptor modernista, director de revistes i col·laborador de diverses publicacions. //Prudenci Bertrana (Tordera, 1867 - Barcelona, 1941) was a modernist writer, director of magazines and contributor to various periodicals. His literary style did not follow the fashions of the time. He is best known for his novel Josafat (1906), for his late autobiographical trilogy (1931-1948) Entre la terra i els núvols ('Between the Earth and the Clouds'), and for his collection of short stories Proses bàrbares ('Barbarian Prose') (1911). He published his first short stories in 1903, some of which have been considered the best ever written in Catalan. His storytelling production has three main themes: the landscape, the peasants and the beasts. His work, structured from a minute and detailed observation of the world, is based on the experience of his own life as a person and writer. In this "Collection of Short Stories", we offer seven narratives published between 1905 and 1923.
