If you find a PD edition, you can first check if the text matches your recording. If it does, there's no need to rerecord.aditidankar wrote: ↑April 25th, 2021, 6:23 am Hey Michael,
I didn't know that . The book that I read it from wasn't published before 1925. Let me see if I can find another version that is in the PD and rerecord.
If the selections are random, we have several collaborative collections for different kinds of poetry and prose. The English ones can be found in the forum Readers Wanted: Short Works (Poetry & Prose):I have a question regarding this. If I were to select some poems or stories at random by one author or a few different authors, that is, they are all from different sources, will it be possible to record them? For example, if I want to record a few stories by O. Henry and Saki (solo), so if I pick a few stories from different sources, will I be able to record them? Or even "Kabir ke Dohe", if I find them from different sources that are in the PD, can I record them? Or do they have to come from the same source that I need to link in the forum?

There are also a few collection for other languages in this forum, including this multilingual collection, of course.
If the selections have a certain unifying theme, you can do a solo collection project. When you open the Project Template Generator to start a project, you'll want to answer "yes" to the question Is this a compilation with multiple authors and sources?. We recommend getting PL OK on a couple of contributions to collaborative projects before embarking on a solo. Our projects are somewhat similar to books, so in deciding whether several recordings belong together in one project, I would ask myself questions like "what would be its title" and "what would I write for its blurb"?
As long as your recording setup doesn't change, you don't need to do another 1-minute test. Also, if you wish, you can check all our technical specs in your mp3 yourself using the Checker program:Do I still need to do the 1-minute test? I will increase the decibels when I record next.
