Kitty wrote: March 29th, 2021, 5:04 am Michael, will you be able to PL the Chinese poem ? Or maybe you could PM Yuqing or Tina again to help out, like in the previous projects.
I believe they were busy last time we checked. I can PL these for faster feedback.

wow Bernd, I really enjoyed this story and the ending was quite cool. Another approach of what really happened in paradise  Very interesting.

The text itself is perfectly ok. I was wondering though whether the story is not a bit long for the short disclaimer...in the first post you can see that only for sections under 500 words we can use the short disclaimer. I would think this one is longer :hmm: So we need the full intro.

Thanks, a great start to the new collection.

Sonia
Hello Sonia,

thank you for your attention. I had just taken the wrong template with me.

I've changed the intro and outro.

New parts:
0:00 - 0:24,5 (long intro - with reference to the public domain 'lizenzfrei und in öffentlichem Besitz')
15:18 (cuted 'diese Aufnahme ist in der Public Domain')

New duration: 15:23

Greetings from Germany. :)

Hi Michael,
Things come up this week and my schedule becomes packed recently. I will try to get it done this weekend, if that sounds good to you. Thank you so much. Looking forward to putting it onto collection.

Thank you, Ling! I'll try to proof-listen within a couple of days -- to the extent that my limited knowledge of Chinese permits (unless one of our Chinese contributors wants to step in). :)

Also, since this is the first time you're assigned a section, let me know under what name (real or nickname) you would like to be credited in the catalog. We can also include a link to your personal website or blog, if you have one.

Thank you, Michael and Kitty, for letting me know about it

No worries, I'll take a look and return with some feedback as soon as possible!
As of now, I've noticed one issue - your file name still contains uppercase letters. Could you rectify that, Ling?
Cheers,
Yuqing :D

Great, thanks so much, Yuqing! Ling, you could wait for the rest of Yuqing's feedback, and, if there are any other changes to be made, upload the new version with the corrected filename (the title in it should be also collapsed into one short word, containing only letters).

Thank you so much, Yuqing, for being willing to PL my recording! Oh, yes, I will change the title perhaps after I receive feedback from you and make the final revision? Thanks for reminding me!

When in doubt, please refer to a reliable source with pinyi for pronunciation, e.g. this document:
https://wenku.baidu.com/view/7c151b834128915f804d2b160b4e767f5acf8020.html

I’d recommend that you annotate the text before embarking on recording, as suggested in the “official guide” here:
https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=Newbie_Guide_to_Recording

If the traditional Chinese is causing some trouble for you, you may find this tool useful:
https://www.lexilogos.com/keyboard/chinese_conversion.htm

These three sites should solve most of the points of hesitation present in your recording. Please don’t feel discouraged or anything; it’s completely normal to feel a bit lost at first. We all started somewhere!

Thank you!
Cheers,
Yuqing :D

thank you, Livia, how lovely. And it's so cool to hear English poems in translation for once, compared to the many foreign authors I already heard translated in English. :9:

Totally PL ok, thanks !

Section 01 SEE PL NOTES
Thank you, Yuqing, for the careful PL and helpful suggestions!

Ling, please note that we ask readers to address PL notes by making edits in their existing recording, if possible, rather than making a new recording. For the PL notes that refer to pronunciation issues, since this is in effect a small solo project, you as the reader can decide which changes you want to make. If you decide that some of these points can be left as in, just cite the PL note in your response and note that you're leaving it as is. For the points you decide to change, you can re-record a character or a phrase (or a longer passage, if there are changes a couple of seconds apart), and then copy and paste it into your existing recording. Here's a video that illustrates this procedure for an older version of Audacity (not much different from the current one):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9NuSuWYaWg

Let me know if you have any questions!

Thanks!
Michael
