Hello,

Here is section 24 after reducing background noise

https://librivox.org/uploads/annise/kalilawadimna_24_ibnalmuqaffa_128kb.mp3

Length is 04:08
Thanks, Dr. Khaled. It is so much better than before. PL OK

Have you recorded it during the morning? I think I hear something like birds chirping. It's not a big deal. You can hear something in my own recordings as well (after all, we are in the same environment).
Constructive criticism is always welcome. Thanks, SaraHale. :D

Thanks Sara for your kind efforts. Yes I have recorded during the morning but I see the birds sounds are quite joyful, don`t you? :D
Anyway, I will try my best in a calmer place next sections.
Thank you
Khaled Fouad :)

No one minds the bird songs . I suppose if it was a reading about a ghost in a deep dark dungeon it might sound a little wrong.

 I didn't mean that at all. I just remembered my own issues while I record like planes, traffic, dogs barking, kids screaming, and so on. Especially the timing, those noises always come when I'm trying to pronounce a difficult word.

So, I'm really sorry.

You're welcome. Yes, they sound joyful and I don't mind them, honest. I thought of mentioning it, in case you don't listen to your own recording.

True! I remember when I was in college we would always study Shakespearean tragedy. Again the timing, when some character dies, we would hear other students celebrate something. It's so funny remembering it. It would have been perfect if we picked joyful plays instead.

Hello,

I have been looking at this project, and you have done some good work!
I would like to give it a shot, and try to record a short section (16 maybe?). However this is my first time doing any recording for Librivox, the technical side of recording shouldn't be a problem, I just need to know what to do here and maybe do a test?

Welcome to LibriVox. You really should do the test - it is not an audition, it's just to get your settings right for us and to try out the uploader on a small file. And I am sure the book coordinator (BC) will welcome you :D . What is needed for the recordings is always shown in the first post of the project.

Hi Mohamed,

Indeed, I'm happy to welcome you to LibriVox and this project! :) We have a standard process to test your software settings:

https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/1-Minute_Test

Please follow these instructions, and if you post the link here, I can check it for you.

Also, please let me know under what name (real or nickname) you would like to be credited in the catalog. We can also include a link to your personal website or blog, if you have one. In the meantime, I'll note that you'd like to read section 16.

So here is the link to the test file:
https://librivox.org/uploads/tests/test_MohamedBou.mp3

I'll record it as soon as I get the green light.
And I would like to be listed with my forum username.

You have the green light! All the technical specs are correct.

P.S. In your real contributions, please be sure to leave 5 seconds of silence at the end.
