Title of work: Mem û Zîn, Chapter One
first I have to say that I don't know the Kurdish language at all. I learnt a few rudiments of Arabic and Persian, but I know this is not the same language, although I think I was able to hear out a few words that sounded familiar. Luckily you gave me the text in the Latin alphabet, so I was able to follow along.
You speak quite clearly, so that is a bonus too for listeners.
> All your technical specifications are ok apart from the volume, which is 93 dB, and that is a bit over our desired limit. We accept recordings between 86 to 92 dB, with a preferred average of 89 dB. So if you could decrease your volume by at least 2 dB, that would be totally perfect.
Other than that I only found one textual error:
> at 2:31-2:41: the following couplets have been read the wrong way around. Second couplet is placed before first couplet in your recording:
(1.) Evrenge felek hemî mu'ezzem
Evçende melek hemî mukerrem
(2.) Ev karegeha 'ezîm û dewwar
Ev baregeha bedî' û seyyar
this is easily corrected if you use Audacity. Simply highlight the first part, cut it out and paste it before the second.
The rest was fine, as far as I can judge.
Only other question: there was no indication that chapter 1 was ending in the text you gave as reference. Do you have another reference where you see that the poem is divided into chapters ?
Anyway, thank you for offering me the insight into a language I was wholly unfamiliar with till now. It was interesting to listen to it, even if I didn't understand it.
