Thank you, Milos. I've put the link in the Magic Window of the project, ready for PL. Our book coordinator Kim (carteki) is away till Monday (that's why I'm replying instead of her), but I'm sure she'll be along next week.
You now have your own catalog page: librivox.org/reader/11175

Have fun finding new projects to join or things to record!

Hi everyone,

As you may have noticed, our servers got reset to September 15th, 2016 because of a software failure. Unfortunately, the failure was massive - we have not succeeded to recover any of the data since September 15th...

We are very sorry about this, but sometimes these things happen. We are trying to recover as much of your recordings as possible, but we will still your help - everybody's help with this. Please read the below carefully to see what you can do to help.

Projects started before September 15th
(and not yet finished) - such as this one

We are very sorry, but all files uploaded after September 15, and all changes to the database and the forum (including PL notes) have been lost and cannot be retrieved.

For BCs: If you remember any claims to your project, please enter them again into the MW.
For readers:
* If you have already completed your recording and it received a PL OK, please reupload the file again and mention in your post that it was PL OK. Make sure you upload the correct file to help your DPL!
* If your file has not received any PL notes yet, please also reupload your file and state that there were no PL notes yet.
* If there were PL notes and you remember them - please fix the file accordingly and reupload the fixed file only. Please post which fixes you have done to help your DPL.
* If you have deleted your file, then maybe your DPL has a copy - please post in the thread and ask if she/he could upload it for you. If this is not possible, you will have to rerecord (or relinquish your claim if you don't want that).
* If you've claimed a section and your claim is not showing up in the MW, go ahead and reclaim.
For DPLs: If you have stored your PL notes, please post them in the thread again. If you don't have them, and you don't remember if a file was PL OK, please also post.

If I remember correctly, Milos uploaded a new file at some point, and this had already been PL-ed? But I may be wrong. Hopefully we can reconstruct the latest developments in this project...

Thank you very much for signing up!

I see that you are new to Librivox. Please read newbie guide to recording to check out your technical settings.
A brief summary from the first post
Quote:
*BEFORE recording: Please check the Recording Notes: http://librivox.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=6427#6430

Set your recording software to:
Channels: 1 (Mono)
Bit Rate: 128 kbps
Sample Rate: 44.1 kHz

[*]DURING recording:
No more than 0.5 to 1 second of silence at the beginning of the recording!
Make sure you add this to the beginning of your recording:
START of recording (Intro)
  • "The Universal Declaration of Human Rights read in [Language] This is a LibriVox recording. All LibriVox recordings are in the public domain. For more information, or to volunteer, please visit: librivox DOT org"
  • If you wish, say: "Recording by [your name], [city, your blog, podcast, web address]"
END of recording [list][*]At the end of the section, say:
"End of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. This recording is in the public domain."
[*]If you wish, say:
"Recording by [your name], [city, your blog, podcast, web address]"

There should be 5 seconds silence at the end of the recording, or 10 seconds for files longer than 30 minutes.
Lines in Pink (namely the intro and the outro) can be translated into the language the reader is using to read the Declaration
...
Save files as
128 kbps MP3
undhr_##_[your intials].mp3 (all lower-case) where ## is the Language (e.g. undhr_EN_KCB.mp3 is the English version read by KCB.)

[*]Transfer of files (completed recordings) Please always post in this forum thread when you've sent a file. Also, post the length of the recording (file duration: mm:ss) together with the link.
[list][*]Upload your file with the LibriVox Uploader: https://librivox.org/login/uploader

Please let me know if you have any questions.
Regards

Thank you for volunteering. We already have those 2 languages recorded and the aim of this collection is to add new ones. Take a look through the list of languages ams there may be a dialect that you can record.
Thanks Kim
