Hi Kidwani

No problem at all and thank you for re-loading

I confirm I can listen to it now  , so leave it with me and I will complete the PL but I am traveling soon for a week so apologies for the delay in returning the PL results

In the mean time can I ask have you run your recording by the program "checker"? if not please follow the instructions in the below link

http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Checker

You need to download the checker and follow instructions. The "checker" program will check that you have put the correct setting when you recorded and also if the level or recording is too high or two low.

I will be in touch again shortly

Best regards

thank you both!

it is not mandatory for a reader to run their recordings through checker, but in this case it is very helpful, thank you zaineb. the bit rate for your recording is slightly off, but thats easy to fix :) you need 128kbps constant.
please follow those instructions:
If using Audacity 1.3 or later:

You must have something recorded in order to activate the Export function. If you try to export an empty project, you will find that the Export function is greyed out. For testing purposes, just click the record button and then stop after a second or two.
Click File > Export
You'll see the "Export file" window appear. You can select the destination here, of course. Enter the name of the file (without the "mp3" on the end - it'll be added for you).
In the "Save as type" box, select "MP3 files", but DON'T click Save yet!!!
Now look for the "Options" box in the Right lower corner of the window, and click on that.
You'll see a "Specify MP3 Options window now. Here click on:
Constant
128 kbps
Joint stereo
Click "OK"
Now click on "Save", and your mp3 will be exported at 128 kbps.

hi alaa, welcome to librivox!

you are welcome to claim that chapter

to be able to sign you up, i need to know under which name or pseudonym you would like to appear in the catalog. we can also link to your personal website or blog.

please also complete the one minute test before getting started, just to make sure that your technical settings are in order. feel free to use two sentences from this text for the test rather than the english version if you are more comfortable with that :) thank you!
