COMPLETE Tabai al-Istibdad by Al-Kawakibi -ck
Carolin,
I sorry I didn't bring this issue up earlier. The book as you can see in the mw is in 11 sections. But in fact it has "two" introductions. Both of them are by the author.
The first introduction was titled with the exact same title of the book. He wrote few lines about himself and described "how this book came to live". - he collected some of his previously published articles in it.
The second on is dealing with the mean topic of the book, so I guess I can consider it as chapter 01, which I did.
The system here asked if there are a separate introduction, and I said yes. I guess that's why It started the coding at 00. I am not sure if I choose the right option.
If we continued with the current state the book will have one introduction and ten chapters with the first chapter titled "introduction" and I find that the most convenient solution.
Yet we can merge the two introductions into one and have only nine chapters.
Please advise!

Salma, thank you
Anyone here wants to PL our first chapter? ☺
Just one question :" chapter 1" you mean the very first chapter titled with the same title of the book "طبائع الاستبداد و مصارع الاستعباد" or the one titled "introduction".
Salma97 wrote:The one titled with the title of the book.
I said 'Chapter one Taba'e el Estbdad w Msar'e el Est'bad' and when I record chapter 2 I'll say 'Chapter 2 Introduction', am I right?
Salma,
Unfortunately we have to consider an introduction for our book, so in the first recording #00 you should say ' the introduction Taba'e el Estbdad w Msar'e el Est'bad' while the chapter entitled "introduction" #01 you may say "chapter one, introduction".
This goes on to the whole book till the last chaper #10 which would be " الفصل العاشر، الاستبداد و التخلص منه" .

Salma,
You can use Audacity. Just replace the part where you said "chapter one" with "the introduction". Try to use the same tone and voice volume, so that no difference is noticed . It could be a bit tricky. But I think you can do it. Yet if the "undetectable" record proved to be impossible, you will need to re-record the chapter again.
I would recommend that you wait for the pl note before trying a re-record. So that you can do all the modification once and for all ?
salma, it is really not so hard, you can just copy-paste. when you need to add a part to the recording later on, just record the words or sentences you want to add a few time, noiseclean and amplify like the rest of the track, and then see how it fits in. listen to the sentences around the part where you want to paste the re-recording, and see if you can sound a little like you did when you recorded for the first time.
i am myself also not very good at this, but it doesnt matter so much if there is a little difference in sound. the important thing is that it is all understandable and the text is correct

Salma,
As you are recording the #00 "introduction" , you need to name the file in #00
