Just a quick drive-by mention of something completely different, sorry.

We have a new volunteer from Venice who would be more comfortable asking his questions in Italian. If you would like to help him get started, please check out his introductory thread:

Thanks for your help!
[And off to the sidelines again, watching. ]
Cheers,
Ava.

Hallo everyone.
I was kidnapped for some days.
Aliens most of the time, but also works and family as well!

I also answered the Lorenzo's thread. We need to lure-in italians readers for Galileo

Ok back to work.

Oh, and I'm obviously late with my part. I'm sorry...

Great, thank you so much!

Well, we'll see if he finds his way to Galileo...
But we're happy whatever he wants to read.
Cheers,
Ava.

Emanuela, I would be interested in knowing your experience with aliens! Did you ask them whether they have sometimes heard about Galileo and the " massimi sistemi"?

Yes! They did!
They said is a little difficult to understand since they are not really fluent in Italian, but they enjoyed the book. They said Galileo was a good guy. Ahead of times.

It has occurred to me that we should have an Italian version of the Newbie Guide to Recording on the wiki. I could make a translation draft, but I would need someone's help to check it for language errors.

Great. Thanks, Emanuela! I'm rather busy the next week or two, but afterwards I'll reach out via PM and we'll coordinate with the admin team on another forum.

Pier,
for me section 51 is Pl OK.

At 20:43 p.418 10 lines from bottom you said "nuovamente" instead of "novamente".
I wouldn't change that. Your choice.

Thanks Emanuela!
So the Aliens (and your job task) released you! Probably as a friend of Galileo.
I uploaded anyway a new corrected section 51:
https://librivox.org/uploads/availle/dialogomassimisistemi_51_galilei_128kb.mp3
(time unchanged)
I am too “pignolo” to pass it without a simple correction.
Who helps me finding the best translation for “pignolo”? :help:

Tank you Emanuela!.
I found for "pignolo":
finicky, pedantic, niggling, finicking, pedant, niggler, but I have the feeling all these terms do not really correspond to the meaning of "pignolo". (Perhaps I am just too "pignolo", looking for the best translation! )
Other opinions?
Tanks,
Pier
