Readings in Croatian?

There are only 4 recordings in Croatian in the librivox catalogue, and they are short and belong to a multilingual poetry collection. I would like to contribute to this and read some more complete works in Croatian, but I am not sure how to go about it. Could someone here advise me on how to start or request a solo project (or a group collab in case there are other people interested)?

Hiya, it would be amazing if you could read croatian language books for librivox :D

There are two things you need to do.

1. Find a text! The text has to be published at least 95 years ago. This way, we can be sure that it is in the public domain in the united states. If you are located in another country, you also have to comply with local copyright law. I am guessing that you are in the eu, that means that the author (and, if applicable, translator) has to be dead st least 70 years.
So you need to find a book published in 1922 or earlier, by an author who died no later than 1947. Do not worry, there are many

2. Get started! Once you picked your book, head over to the launch pad. You will find a thread there will all the instructions for starting a solo project :)

Let us know if you have any questions!

Awesome, thanks a lot for the info Carolin!
I'll do that, and I'll come back here if I somehow get lost in the process XD
Cheers!

The text that I would like to read was published in 1916, but digitalised and "published" in digital form in 2015 by "Zagreb : Knjižnice grada Zagreba, 2015". link
Does that still work, or is it disqualified because of the digitalisation?

Welcome to LV!

This book is fine since it is a digitalised scan of the original book and on the first page it clearly shows a copyright of 1916, which is great!

It also seems a good length for a starter solo with some 70 pages or so. We might have troubles finding a DPL, but let's worry about that later. :D

Before you set this up though, please do your test to make sure your audio equipment is just as ready as you are!
