So Indian copyright is death+60 years - which brings it in line with the EU which is death+70 therefore you can record a number of books where the author died before 1946 on legumus.eu (I think that's the spelling). No, it's not as widely known as librivox, but it will mean some books can be recorded.
Alternatively go and visit your local library and find out if they have any texts from pre 1923 that you'd like to record. You can then scan these and upload to Internet Archive and record.
