Here is a brief description of the book we're considering to read. The italian version comprehend also the sequel Tanglewood Tales for Boys and Girls. Can we go in?

Wonder-Book for Girls and Boys (1852) is a book by American author Nathaniel Hawthorne. It is a re-writing of some of the most famous of the ancient Greek myths in a volume for children. It was followed by a sequel, Tanglewood Tales for Boys and Girls.

The stories are all stories within a story, the frame story being that a Cousin Eustace is telling these stories to small children at Tanglewood.

It covers the myths of

The Gorgon's Head
The Golden Touch
The Paradise of Children
The Three Golden Apples
The Miraculous Pitcher
The Chimæra
