Hi,
I am new to the forum, but I have enjoyed lots of recordings from Librivox. I feel that I should pay back by doing some volunteer recording.
I am proposing a new project on Zi Bu Yu <子不语> by Yuan Mei (袁枚） from Qing dynasty. It is one of the classics in Chinese literature. The book has 24 volumes, containing about 1000 short stories. The language is understandable. Here is the online text of the book:

The book will be recorded in Putonghua. I am a native speaker. Anyone who is interested in this project is welcome to join me. I am not sure how long each project is supposed to take, but my plan is to finish the recording within one year. Look forward to working with interested friends!

That sounds like a great idea! As you're new to LibriVox, it would probably be a good idea to make some contributions to existing projects first though, so that you can get to know how everything works around here. I would suggest the Multilingual Poetry Collection, where you could contribute with a Chinese poem in the public domain:

I can't read that link text, of course, but is there anywhere stated the publication date of the work(s)? It must be 1922 or earlier (with some sort of proof of that) to be recorded here.
