(from Archive reviews)
Groner's first name is spelled Auguste, not Augusta. This title and others by Groner all have the same misspelling.
(We can easily fix the catalog pages, but fixing the ID tags on the files will be a bear.

I'm not saying they aren't right, but the 4 actual texts for them all say Augusta on the first page at PG.

But on the main page for each, they say Auguste. And the Wikipedia article has Auguste.

It is an interesting development. I bet they were at PG exclusively as Augusta, but they changed their author database entry (and not the texts).

Archive scans of two books have Augusta:

Stranger and stranger. I say, leave it in as Augusta but put Auguste as a pseudonym, or vice versa.

I'm certainly not changing the 4 covers :D . I suspect the US publishers "anglicised" the name but having both in the database seems a good idea to me

I've added "Augusta Groner" to the pseudonyms. I think that's all we need to do.

On a related note, three of Auguste's books show a Grace Isabel Colbron as second author:

https://librivox.org/author/2060

According to gutenberg (the bib tab below), she was the translator, although she's been mentioned in the text itself (on top with the metadata) as co-author. I think what she did write was the short "Introduction to Joe Muller" which seems to be the same in every book, so more of a translator's introduction.

Hence, I'd vote for "demoting" Ms. Colbron to translator for these. :)
Objections?

(And thanks for giving me something to read ;-) )

Sounds good to me.

(And yes, those other books looked interesting! "Joe Muller: detective : being the account of some adventures in the professional experience of a member of the imperial Austrian police"? Right up your alley!)

I'm off to demoting her then. :D

She wrote A LOT of books, this series being her most famous one apparently.

The stories are pretty good as I recall. I may add some of the ones that haven't been done yet to my list of possible projects...
