It appears there may be a problem with the zip archive of _Smoke Bellew_
by Jack LONDON (smoke_bellew_2006_librivox.zip).

I've tried to download it twice. Both times I got an error saying
"Unable to unarchive (Error 1 - Operation not permitted)."

Since I've had no trouble with any other Librivox download, I'm guessing
there is something wrong with the file itself.

It's downloading for me, but the problem may be later in the process. I didn't allow it to fully download.

Can you ask the listener at what step that error comes up? Is it after they have downloaded the zip, or is it when they try to download it?

I had no problems downloading and unzipping the files. They play just fine too.

I would guess that the problem is the unzipping part - maybe the downloaded file got corrupted somehow or is not complete.
This may happen with connection problems.
Another possibility is that the person does not have permissions to open/unzip the files. This can be if the file downloads to a folder he has no access/permissions for.

But we can't be sure, really, without knowing more details - when/where is the download, what browser, what operating system etc.

No, it's still happening. The zip file downloads and appears to be fine
but won't unarchive.

I've downloaded the 64 kb one and used the files.. Anne
