[OK]Uploading Error

Good evening,

I have been attempting to upload my 1-minute test, and keep getting the same error.

" undefined Error The filetype you are attempting to upload is not allowed. "

The file is "test_angadeon.mp3", I've run it through the Checker, successfully. Mono, 44,100hz, 16bit, 128kbps

I'm not sure what else to look for. The file plays properly for me.

Has this problem been encountered before?

Thank you!

Hmm... no luck. I have cleared all the id tags and it still isn't allowing the upload.

Any more thoughts?

What browser are you using, and what OS ? this might help someone help . Chrome does odd things for some people I've heard.

I saw a comment about that elsewhere. I've tried on Firefox, Edge and Chrome with no luck. I'm on the latest version of Win 10.

For the recording and editing, I am using Presonus Studio One 3, on a Rode NT1 with the Presonus Audiobox iOne interface.

Try and upload the file after you've zipped it.

Except someone would have to download it, unzip it, and upload it again. I suppose it would be good for troubleshooting, but not as a long-term solution.

I unzipped it and tried uploading, and it didn't upload for me, either.

I'm searching through old forum posts for possible solutions. Try this:

On your recording in Studio One, export/save it as a WAV or FLAC file. Then open up the WAV/FLAC file and export as MP3.

(Your test is A-OK; we just have to get this uploading thing figured out.)

For some reason the server is not recognising the .mp3 file type that is created by your editing program.
Most of us use audacity on this site. As a last resort can you install audacity, import the file and then export as mp3 again and try uploading that file.
I'm not sure what to search to troubleshoot as the server only checks the last few letters in the name to determine the file type and not the actual file itself.

Seems mp3's are not really supported by this software.
I'd post in help wanted to see if other users also use the same editing software.
In the meanwhile export from studio one as .wav and use a converter to convert to mp3 before uploading.
